We've defeated Golden Hawks once again !

As the parched earth, cracked under the scorching heat of summer, savors the taste of revival with the first rains of monsoon, so too did Tariq Kazi enter the decaying football scene of this country like a prince, bringing with him the essence of that first rainfall.

Though his mother was Finnish, his father was Bangladeshi. Growing up, he listened to his father’s tales of Bangladesh and the heroic stories of his grandfather in the Liberation War. Even from thousands of miles away, it seemed as though he could hear the call of his motherland, as if he could smell the fragrance of Bangladesh’s soil.

The pull of one’s roots is a strange thing. Otherwise, why would a boy who was destined for a bright future in Finland pack his bags and make the bold decision to come to Bangladesh? Only for the love of his roots, only for the love of where he came from.

Tariq’s early football career seemed complete in every sense—playing in Finland's top tier, competing in the Europa League qualifiers, and representing various Finnish national youth teams. Three of his teammates from those days even played for Finland in Euro 2020.

Yet despite all these sacrifices, Tariq’s start in Bangladesh was far from pleasant. Some people repeatedly tried to keep him away from the national team, labeling him injury-prone and claiming he wouldn’t adapt to the Asian playing conditions. But all their efforts were in vain when Tariq made his debut in June 2021 during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Afghanistan.

From that point onward, there was no looking back for Tariq. He has been moving forward with his own strength, with his own glory.

Memories are made of matches like this! 🎉 Today, we played against FC Barkah only for fun—and it’ll go down in history! 😄 Our Junayed (Siham) spiced things up with a deliberate own goal just for laughs, but we managed to secure the win with two goals! ⚽ goal scorers : Tausif Arham and Tawfiq Bin Kamal.
Barkah also gave a lot of joy in this match!

The day we craved for! Thousands of Bangladeshi football fans were waiting for this day. But the corruption of Bangladesh was an extreme barrier for our country to reach at that height. Therefore, when Bangladesh became independent for the second time by the hands of this generation, those barriers were removed. As a result of we can see the clear victory of Bangladesh Under-20 team. Today is a very happy day for Bangladeshi football fans who may have to hire truck after truck to keep their happiness. the youth who have shown the face of independence to Bangladeshi mass general for the second time have won today the beautiful golden trophy of SAFF Championship. Today, the role of these young people is immense in the dream of building a new Bangladesh. It is hoped that these young guns will move forward.

We, the Rising Stars is deeply saddened by the reports of attacks on student demonstrators in Bangladesh. Such incidents, including targeted actions against female students, deeply disturb us.

This is an unacceptable situation that requires immediate attention and addressing. Being dedicated to equality and justice, we condemn these acts of aggression. Every student deserves the basic right to protest without fear of retaliation.The youth represent the future of our nation, and any harm inflicted upon them endangers our collective future. We urge all Football clubs to express their solidarity with the rightful demands of the students.
