To get 30g of protein, you’re looking at about one full can of tuna for around 130 calories.
To get the same 30g from peanut butter, you’d need roughly 5 to 6 tablespoons, which comes out to around 650 to 700 calories.
That’s the difference.
Peanut butter isn’t a great protein source. It’s a fat source that happens to contain some protein.
If you try to hit your protein target with it, you’ll blow through your calories fast.
Use peanut butter for healthy fats and flavor. Use lean protein for… protein.
