Met trots stellen we Sébastien Siani voor als assistent-trainer van onze U16 voor het seizoen 2025–2026.

Sébastien brengt heel wat ervaring mee, zowel als ex-profvoetballer als jeugdtrainer. Hij was onder meer speler van RSC Anderlecht en KV Oostende, en maakte jarenlang deel uit van de nationale ploeg van Kameroen. In 2017 kroonde hij zich zelfs tot winnaar van de Afrika Cup – een absoluut hoogtepunt in zijn carrière.

Na zijn actieve spelerscarrière zette Sébastien de stap naar het trainersvak. In 2021 werd hij assistent van Michiel Jonckheere bij de U18 van KV Oostende. Daarna volgde een periode van anderhalf jaar als hoofdtrainer van de U18 van KMSK Deinze.

Ook op persoonlijk vlak is er een sterke band: zijn twee zoontjes spelen bij Cercle, wat zijn betrokkenheid nog extra betekenis geeft.

Bij de U16 wil Sébastien, samen met David Carpels, bouwen aan een herkenbare manier van voetballen, met intensiteit, durf en spelplezier als kernwaarden.

As you all know, this week has been incredibly difficult with the news of the club’s unfortunate situation. Despite this, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.

Over the past year and a half, we have built something truly special together. Whether it was on the pitch, during training sessions, or in the locker room, your dedication, passion, and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring. You’ve given everything for this team, and it has been an absolute honor to lead such a talented and committed group of players.

I would also like to extend my thanks to my assistants, who have stood by my side through every challenge. Your unwavering support and hard work have been essential to our progress, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Even in this moment of uncertainty, I hope you all realize how much we’ve accomplished together—not just in terms of football, but in creating a family. No matter what happens next, I know you will all go on to achieve great things, and I will always be proud to have been a part of your journey.

Thank you for the memories, the battles fought, and the unity we’ve shared.
