Royal Military Sailing Team RMAST is the Royal Military Sailing Team. We're a group of people passionate about sailing or just being on the water.
We organize several activities, give courses and participate in various competions, some of them abroad. People who don't have any experience in this sport, are also welcome to join us!

Vandaag begon RMAST opnieuw met de zeiltrainingen van het nieuwe academiejaar. Na een lange tijd zonder trainingen wegens covid-beperkingen, kan het team zich nu klaarstomen voor verschillende competities.
Aujourd’hui, RMAST a recommencé les entrainements de voile de la nouvelle année académique. Après une longue période sans entraînement en raison des restrictions covid, l’équipe peut maintenant se préparer pour différentes compétitions.

Vorige woensdag hervatte RMAST voor het eerst sinds het begin van de lockdown de zeiltrainingen. Ze zijn er meteen in gevlogen met een stevige bries in de zeilen. Vanaf nu zullen ze zich alle woensdagen voorbereiden op de verschillende wedstrijden waaraan ze dit jaar deelnemen.
Mercredi dernier, RMAST a repris, pour la première fois depuis le confinement, les entrainements de voile. Ils se sont élancés, un vent soutenu dans leurs voiles. Dorénavant, ils s'entraîneront tous les mercredis afin d'être prêts pour les différentes compétitions auxquelles ils prendront part cette année.

A sad day.
Today we say goodbye to one of our honorary members.
Olivier left us way too young at the age of 28.
He was an experienced pilot and sailor.
A professional and passionate person in heart and mind, but above all a very good friend.
RMAST will remember him as a truly devoted member and an honest officer. A man that lived and loved life to the fullest.
Strength to family and friends in the days to come.

Today the committee said its farewells to KVK DE VOS. After three to four years of intensive practice at the RMA and fulfilling its role as coach and POC for RMAST, he'll retire from the military. We wish him the best of luck, a fair wind and a following sea!

A delegation from the Royal Military Academy Sailing Team is participating in the International Sailing Week in the Accademia Navale di Livorno. Having paraded through Livorno, exchanged gifts with the Accademia's Superintendent and Livorno's Mayor, we are ready to compete in the competition that awaits us. Wish us luck!
Een delegatie van het zeilteam van de Koninklijke Militaire School neemt deel aan de International Sailing Week in de Accademia Navale di Livorno. Na reeds geparadeerd te hebben door de straten van Livorno, geschenken uitgewisseld te hebben met de Italiaanse schoolcommandant en de burgemeester van Livorno, zijn we nu klaar voor de komende wedstrijd. Wens ons geluk!
Une délégation de l'équipe de voile de L'école Royale Militaire participe à ce moment a l'International Sailing Week à l'Accademia Navale di Livorno. Ayant paradé dans les rues de Livorno, échangé des cadeaux avec le commandant de l'école et le maire de Livorno, nous sommes prêts pour la competition qui suit. Souhaite-nous bonne chance!

Last weekend, RMAST and students from the RMA went to yet another succesful Channel Sailing with almost 40 participants in total!
The sea was rough but that only drives up the notch adventure-wise and shows one the true wonders of nature!
Wind in the hair and ropes hold firmly in our hands; after a day of hard work, we deserved to sit inside, warm and cosy, and have a drink!

The RMA sailing delegation just arrived back in Belgium after spending a week time in Livorno, sailing and exploring the city. They managed to get a well deserved 8th place out of 18 participating countries. Thank you for the most wonderful experience and the outstanding reception, we'll see you again next year!
