We are beyond excited to officially welcome Scoil Rince Celtus Belgium, formerly known as Taradance, to the Scoil Rince Celtus family! 🥰

With locations across the Netherlands and Germany, it is so special to now extend our Celtus family to Belgium! 🇳🇱🇩🇪🇧🇪

SRC Summer School 2026 is over, but the memories stay ☺️

Day 4 — Technique and Hard Work

And just like that… our 4-day SRC Summer School has come to an end!

Today we had a great session from our guest teacher, Holly. Working on technique, stretches, hardshoe drills and a challenging circuit workout, she really tired us out! We also talked about our goals, what we’d like to improve and received some great feedback. 🧡

In the afternoon, we had lots of fun with team games, followed by some stretching and a breathing exercise to finish the day. 😮‍💨

And, as this was our last day, there were prizes to be handed out! We celebrated certain dancers for their hard work, improvement and more throughout the Summer School.

Our final message: Work hard and support each other!

A huge thank you from Celtus to our organisers, teachers, wonderful dancers and our amazing guest teacher Holly for making these four days so special. ☺️

Day 3 - Team Drills, Team-Building, Guest Teacher and Pizza Party! 🍕

Lines, arms and positioning were the main focus of our team drills. Cutting parts of team dances into little pieces and training important techniques!

We opened up to one another during teambuilding. Getting to know one another better, understanding different points of view, talking about what we want SRC to feel like and we celebrated each other! 🧡

Then we met our amazing guest teacher, Holly! We worked on technique, did an intense HIIT work out and learned some great streches. Everyone will sleep well tonight… 💤

We ended the day with a very tasty pizza party - winding down, chatting and reviewing the day.

Day 2 — Strong Feet, Confident Minds & Treble Reels! 💪

Today we started with toe work, learning and practising hardshoe movements while working towards stronger feet and dancing higher on our toes. We were also taught some great stretches for our feet and toes! ✨Toe yoga ✨

We then focused on owning your mindset — learning that we have control over our confidence! We created a positivity wall highlighting everyone’s strengths. 🧡

After lunch, we had lots of fun learning Treble Reels, making them our own and adding some sparkle with costumes! Everyone also received their own unique award! 🏅

Day 1 - Back to basics

What a strong start to our 4-day SRC Summer School! 🔥

We warmed up, stretched, and went back to basics — reminding us of the key elements that make a great dancer!

Traditional sets were next, with rhythm and precision at their core.

We explored the power of performance — because confident posture and a smile can really uplift your dancing!

We finished the day with circle time, reflecting on everything we have learned while stretching it all out.

Message of Day 1? Keep practising the basics — they are the core of your dancing!

Day 2… bring it on! 🔥🧡

☀️ Summer break? Not quite! ☘️

While some of our regular classes are taking a summer break, there’s still plenty happening!

🌞 Our kids’ summer camp in Düsseldorf was full of dancing, crafts, laughter and of course an unforgettable water fight!

💍 We performed at two weddings, including one very special wedding where one of our own dancers/teachers was the bride! Congratulations!

🎪 We also joined the ASML Zomerspelen in Eindhoven & Helmond, introducing lots of enthusiastic kids to Irish dance.

🔥Next week: our very own Celtus Summer Scool! Dancers of all ages and levels will be challenged, and we even have a guest teacher joining us!

📣 Behind the scenes, we’re already preparing for after the summer: lots of meetings, ordering flyers, possible new locations, planning open days and promoting our classes in local sports programmes are all in the works. We can’t wait to welcome lots of new dancers after the summer!
