Wat een mooie manier om het jaar af te sluiten! 🙌 Dit jaar kreeg ik de kans om deel te nemen aan het fantastische Samsung-project over duurzame innovatie. Samen met mijn geweldige groep (die trouwens gewonnen heeft! 🏆) hebben we laten zien wat teamwork en doorzettingsvermogen kunnen bereiken. 💪🌍

Ik ben ontzettend trots op ons team en dankbaar dat ik mocht bijdragen aan dit inspirerende project. Jullie hebben me zoveel geleerd, en samen hebben we iets neergezet waar we echt trots op mogen zijn. 💡💚

Een grote dank aan Samsung voor deze kans en aan Hogeschool VIVES voor de ondersteuning. 🙏 En natuurlijk een shout-out naar mijn teamleden: Ward, Gilles en Héloise. Jullie zijn de besten! 🎉

🙏 Life's Unpredictable Journey 🌍
Life has an uncanny way of hurling unexpected curveballs our way. Just 24 days ago, as I disembarked from a flight from the lively streets of Sao Paulo to the heart of Brussels, my world took an unforeseen and life-altering twist.
"My body faltered, my speech slurred, and I couldn't stand on my own two feet. The stark reality hit me hard; I had experienced a brain stroke, stemming from a tear in my neck vein known as a neck dissection. Little did I know, before my flight, I had a headache, but I didn't realize the seriousness of it. If I had known, I probably would not have taken that flight. This serves as a profound reminder of life's fragility and the extraordinary gift that it is."
Today, I summon the courage to share this experience with you, not seeking sympathy, but as a tribute to the incredible power of resilience and the boundless support of loved ones. This is my way of acknowledging the remarkable journey of these past 24 days, which have been both challenging and triumphant.
In the past, I was on the mats, taking on every challenger who came my way. Now, I find joy in the small victories, like climbing the stairs without support and making progress in my stability training. For someone who has always embraced strength and resilience, this presents a different kind of battle. However, I'm resolute in confronting it head-on, knowing that with time, patience, and unwavering perseverance, I will emerge from this experience even more resilient.
As I share this, I'm reminded of the tiger who's had to cool down in the face of adversity. 🐅 Life can change in the blink of an eye. Embrace every moment, express gratitude for your health, and never underestimate the power of resilience or the unwavering support of your loved ones. Thank you for being a part of my journey. I eagerly anticipate sharing the triumphs that lie ahead. 🙌❤️

🇧🇷 Rediscovering My Second Home: Sao Paulo Chronicles 🥋

Each visit to Sao Paulo feels like a new adventure, and this time, it brought a unique twist. 🏠 Navigating the streets seemed harder, as if the city was testing my familiarity. But maybe it's me who's changed, constantly reinventing myself.

These past two years, I traded the mats for textbooks, diving deep into Supply Chain Management studies. 📚 It was a necessary pause, but I missed the feeling of the mats beneath my feet. After exams, I made the leap back to my second home: Sao Paulo.

As a black belt, I felt the pressure to bring my A-game, fearing my skills had rusted. 🥋 But something magical happened. In this short period, it all came flooding back. The techniques, the mindset, the heart of Jiu-Jitsu.

I'm grateful for this journey, for the opportunity to reclaim my passion, and for the doors that opened wide in Sao Paulo for me to train and fight. 🚪💪 This city, these mats, and the incredible community here continue to inspire me. Oss! 🇧🇷❤️
