IFES Student Leadership Formacion

DOWNSIDE UP

It’s almost a week ago that we traveled home from Formación in 🇧🇬. We are blessed to be able to look back on good times of connecting, learning, making new friends and catching up with old friends, worshipping, making development plans for the next 10 months and so much more!!

And this was only the start. As change is always a process, every student is appointed a mentor that they’ll meet over Zoom every month. Please join us in prayer for those 40 students and their mentors during this coming year. Pray that they’ll be met in their process by God and grow in ways that show the grace of God in their lives. 🙏

As you can imagine there’s so much to share from the conference, and we’ll do so over the next weeks. But here’s a couple of photos’s to caption the week we had🙌

According to research, while trees may not sleep in the same way animals do, they do relax their branches during nighttime, which suggests that yes, trees have activity-rest cycles.

Seeds! The word that also captures what this years Formacion will be about. You might think that Formacion is only for students who are already leading a (small) group. But everything that grows into something big has been a seed before. So may be you!
We would love to invite students to Formacion who might not lead (yet), but are eager to come and learn how to grow in your relationship to God, their calling in this world and their gifts and talents.

Tree of life - That is how the story starts! Have you read Genesis in those last months? Check out how often trees are connected with life!

Words are nourishment for or souls. Fridays are meant to feed ou at the end of the week.

Creation inclues us as humans. He does have a special eye on us. On wednesdays you will learn about people and places that are part of the formacion story. This is supposed to inspire and encourage 😊

Trees are amazing as they are a part of God's creation. Monday would be the fun day where will learn facts about trees and forests.

„… and you will overflow with thankfulness." Colossians 2:7

To finish it up, we will celebrate. Celebrate GOD and what he is doing in our lives. Celebrate the fruit of his work.

"Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him..."
We will start this formacion with the big questions of where we are rooted as Christians and leaders and how deep those roots go?
