THE BERMUDA SOCIETY OF ARTS
wants your PLASTIC trash!
And we don’t mean bags of it – call KBB for that!
We invite artists to enter art with an UNDERWATER THEME for an art
show using PLASTICS found in the ocean and on our beaches. BSoA will be
transformed into an underwater world filled with all manner of subjects
found within the depths of the ocean – sea creatures from whales, dolphins,
starfish, jellyfish, turtles, sharks, and lion fish, to corals, seashells, pirates,
shipwrecks, divers and treasure. Use your imagination to turn some of the
tons of discarded plastic into art that makes a statement, and puts
Bermuda’s plight into the international spotlight – after all we are in the
middle of THE PLASTIC OCEAN!.
Entries welcome from schools, art camps and individual artists
ONE entry per school group or artist unless space permits, as we are
expecting a record number of entries.
All artwork accepted on Wednesday, July 4 2012
Opening reception at BSoA on Friday, July 6 2012 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Show continues until July 24 2012
For more information and to register to enter call 292-3824 or email [email protected]
