Host an Event for Syria (H.E.S.) is a crowdfunding initiative to kick-start events and to jointly create large-scale support for 'Hand in Hand for Syria' How?

With H.E.S. you can make a difference by hosting an event of any kind and with that raise money for a vital cause. No need to think big, just share your talent and/or hobby and invite a group of people. Not only do you contribute to a good cause, you also get people together in a social setting while doing something fun and worthwhile. Initiate ... an idea;

Everything is possible, a (potluck lunch), workshops for kids, an organised run or hike, a movie night, an art or cooking class, a rugby night, a soccer game ... the ideas are endless!! The event can be either public or private; we can help promote your event on our page. Just send us a message with when, what, where. How does this raise money? Simply by asking your visitors for a participation (donation) fee. After the event you donate the proceeds to H.E.S. by using the DONATE button on https://www.justgiving.com/hostaneventforsyria/ . All of the proceeds automatically are sent directly to Hand in Hand for Syria. Why Hand in Hand for Syria? Hand in Hand for Syria, who’s founders are either born in the UK of Syrian parentage or are Syrians living in Britain, is actually working INSIDE Syria where most other NGO’s can not work. With high risks involved their team is spread over Syria, taking an indispensable range of humanitarian aid directly where so many Syrian citizens are in desperate need of help. It is with an extreme heavy heart that we inform the HES community that we have lost the most beautiful, caring, cheerful, altruistic, graceful and big-hearted person on earth. Sanne was the unmissable co-founder of HES and organized numerous events, small and big, for young and old. It is just too hard to understand. Her spirit and soul will always inspire us to be and stay selfless, warm and open-minded. Sanne, we ❤ you and we will sincerely try to carry on your unlimited kindness. We would also like to make a special personal reference to the invaluable support and contribution of Clementine Huiberts-Kunst. With utmost modesty she has organised several events (birthday, pop-up shop Qatar, moving-out sale Qatar) and raised the incredible total amount of 1343€.

Moment of sincere frustration and an APPEAL to everyone with a heart...

It is hell in Syria and as one of the organizers of HES I haven't managed for a while to motivate friends and relatives to FACE THIS and to DO something.
It keeps me awake, thinking about those poor souls in their cellars, hiding for the war above their heads.

I know there are some very big-hearted followers in this group, located at different places. Can we BRAINSTORM and INSPIRE EACH OTHER to organise a JOINT EVENT to support Hand in Hand for Syria who are helping the civilians on the ground? Show what we are capable of, together?

Nearly 180 people killed in Syria's Eastern Ghouta in 2 weeks Nearly 180 people, including 51 children, have been killed in Syria's Eastern Ghouta in just over two weeks, the volunteer White Helmets rescue group said Sunday, as the government steps up its air raids on the country's remaining rebel-held areas.

What a MAJOR surprise coming from Panaga, Brunei!! The IP8 class did it again, they have raised the unbelievable amount of 993 euro by organising a flea market. Just imagine how many people can be helped because of this beautiful initiative. Thank you so much boys and girls and all teachers and parents who have supported this! ❤️
