🙌🏼 Feeling out of balance? Here’s how to get back on track!

🥴 Feeling overwhelmed lately? Maybe you’re doom-scrolling instead of taking care of the most important person—YOU.

🥹 Right now, a lot of us are carrying the weight of uncertainty. If you’re anything like me a solo mom (Canadian) with a demanding job, building a business, and managing a home with two dogs, balance isn’t just something nice to have. It’s essential.

And yet… 🤯 when life felt heavy, I used to bury myself in work.

At first, it seemed to work because, honestly, I didn’t have time for anything else.

💀 But guess what? That backfired.

⛔️ I was late picking up my daughter from school.
⛔️ My workouts (aka my stress relief) went out the window.
⛔️ Even my dogs weren’t getting their walks.

The world’s chaos didn’t stop, and instead of managing my stress, I was drowning in it.

And my family? They got the worst of me.

💖 I wanted to feel grounded to be a steady, present mom no matter what was happening around me.

But I let work take over instead.

🤔 I realized if I wanted more balance, I had to change how I was doing things. I needed to set some serious boundaries with myself to stop overworking and protect my energy.

🎯 What I’ve learned? In tough times, we don’t need to push harder. We need to double down on balance.

✨ Setting boundaries even when it felt uncomfortable.
✨ Making self-care non-negotiable (because abandoning myself wasn’t balance).
✨ Saying NO to overcommitting so I could make space for what truly mattered.

It’s not always easy, but it is possible.

🥴 Trying to do it all? It’s costing you more than you think.

9 years ago, my life looked like this:

😵‍💫 Running on 4-6 hours of sleep
💼 Working late nights and most weekends
🐶 Taking care of a sick dog
👶🏻 Solo parenting a baby
🚀 Working full-time with no breaks

🤯 I thought I was doing what needed to be done.

The wake-up call? I burned out so badly that even getting out of bed felt impossible.

💔 If you’re feeling this way too, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to stay stuck.

I dragged myself through the motions because I had to. As the only adult in the house, there was no backup.

But I could barely function. Even taking a shower felt like a monumental task.

💡 That’s when I realized:

✅ My well-being was more important than my to-do list.
✅ Happiness wasn’t about how much I accomplished in a day.
✅ Mom guilt was keeping me trapped in unrealistic "shoulds."

👉🏼 So I made a shift. I let go of the idea that I had to do everything.

💫 I started prioritizing sleep, listening to my body, and allowing myself to rest without shame.

💥 And you know what? The laundry still got done (eventually). The dishes didn’t define my worth.

And my house? It started looking like a home where people actually live, not a cover for the Home Design magazine.

🤔😂 What if the secret to solving your biggest problems… was laughter?

Most of what we do, believe, and think about ourselves is stored in the unconscious mind.

And we don’t even realize it.

That’s why change isn’t just about thinking differently. It’s about shifting how you feel.

🧐 In a session with a colleague, I decided to spice things up and try something new. And something really interesting happened.

🙈 My client was stuck in a problem state, so I had him do a hand-coordination technique (which, let’s just say, was not his strong suit).

🤣 After a few failed attempts, we both burst into laughter and that moment changed everything.

🤯 He snapped out of the problem state, saw things from a whole new perspective, and walked away with real solutions instead of frustration.

🚨 Happiness doesn’t come from a relationship, a holiday, or anyone else. 🚨

👌🏼 It comes from owning who you are and building a life that fulfills you.

🙋🏻‍♀️ YOU are the person who will complete you and make you feel whole. Not one else can do it.

🔥 When you stop letting society decide for you what your life should look like, you stop chasing validation.

And then something amazing happens. You feel free. 🕊️

🙌🏼 Your happiness is in your hands and you don’t need a holiday to remind you of that.

1️⃣ Decide what truly matters to YOU. Not what society says, not what others expect. Just what actually makes you happy.

2️⃣ Be honest with yourself. Are you living a life that feels good, or just following the “shoulds”? Honest check-ins with yourself can change everything.

3️⃣ Do more of what lights you up. A quiet coffee, a good book, a walk, dancing in your kitchen… whatever makes you feel like you again? Do more of that.

4️⃣ Treat yourself like someone you love. Speak kindly to yourself, take care of your needs, and show yourself the same compassion you give others. You deserve it.

5️⃣ Celebrate yourself daily. You don’t need permission to feel proud of who you are. You’re already enough.

🥹 Valentine’s Day used to be depressing for me.

🚩 This day felt like a giant flashing sign reminding me that I didn’t fit society’s script.

I’d see the flowers, the candlelit dinners, the “perfect” couples and instead of celebrating the life I built for myself, I felt like I was missing something.

💀 Like I wasn’t enough because I wasn’t living the way the world expected me to.

🤯 But I’ve learned the rules society places on women are bullsh*t.

💪🏼 I’m a single mom by choice.
🙌🏼 I built a life on my terms.

💥 And once I let go of the idea that I had to follow a certain path, I stopped feeling like I was on the outside looking in.

🥳 Now, Valentine’s Day is something I celebrate.

💞 A day I get to pour love into my daughter, myself, my dogs and this life I love.

✅ I don’t need external validation.
✅ I own who I am.

I created my way to celebrate this holiday, which makes it extra special, and fun!, for us.

👀 Here’s how to start your day on the right foot.

🥴 Let’s be real, mornings can feel chaotic, especially as a working mom.

🙈 If you’re waking up already feeling behind, skipping breakfast, and scrambling to get out the door, that frantic energy follows you all day.

🔥 Planning ahead is CRUCIAL! And it starts the night before.

✅ Lay out your gym clothes in the bathroom.

😳 Feeling overwhelmed? I get It. That used to be me too.

I used to feel like I was running in circles, constantly busy but never really getting anywhere.

🙈 Work never really stopped 👉🏼 at the office, at home, in my head.

❌ There was never time to just chill and relax.

💀 I thought this was just how life was for a working mom.
