The Ed Armbrister Baseball League (EABL) evolved out of an Urban Baseball Camp founded by brothers Mike and Nat Butler in the summer of 1998 at the historic John F. In 2011, the principals Mike and Nat Butler in consultation with its primary sponsors Lloyd's Bank Int'l, Buttons Formal Wear, Dominos Pizzas, support groups and other special contributors including the late Charles " Chuck" Mackey and
Mr. Immediately after, the Urban Baseball Camp principals and along with the standing committee unanimously voted in favour of creating a league of teams and naming it in honour of Bahamian Baseball legend Mr. Armbrister, who was a 2-time World Champion with the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB) and ever since, we have continued to engage the youths in various communities throughout the inner city of New Providence. However note, our inaugural season was played in 2011 at the historic Windsor Park located at the intersection of Wulff Road and East Street, and during that season, a composition of 9 teams played in 3 age divisions with several notable collegiate and professional players, who were privileged to be a part of our league's history. A few years later, the Ed Armbrister Baseball League become a member of the Community Baseball League of New Providence under the leadership and Presidency of Mr. But nevertheless, in 2020, the Ed Armbrister Baseball League became an affiliate member of the Bahamas Baseball Association. While in 2022, the league has expanded again and has since become a full fledge member of the same. The Ed Armbrister league now plays at the newly renovated Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.
