Four months of preparation, only to get hit with the flu and a stomach virus the week before the competition.
Every excuse to quit was there, but quitting was never an option.
On Tuesday, I prayed and reminded myself of Matthew 6:26: If God provides for the birds and they do not worry, why should I?
Race day wasn’t perfect. I cramped from start to finish and picked up three penalties, but I kept moving forward.
This wasn’t about having the perfect race. It was about proving to myself that resilience is stronger than adversity and that faith can carry you through when your body wants to quit.

This is the part nobody posts… showing up anyway.
Perimenopause and menopause are where most women get misled.

There was a point in the workout…
legs burning, lungs on fire, everything telling me to stop.
That voice kicked in…
“you’re tired, that’s enough.”
But I’ve heard that voice before.
And every time I listened… nothing changed.
So today, I answered it differently.
I don’t stop when I’m tired.
I stop when I’m done.
Everyone wants the result.
Not everyone is willing to commit to the process.
The truth is, change does not come from one good workout.
It comes from the habits you repeat daily.
Show up when it is inconvenient.
Stay consistent when motivation is low.
That is how you build a body…
and a mindset… that lasts.

You can invest everything into your career, but if you don’t have the health to enjoy it, what’s the point?
He was doing well in his career, but his fitness was at a very low level. Low energy, limited endurance, and when he got back into tennis, it was clear his body wasn’t keeping up.
So we simplified everything. Strength training, cardio, clean eating, and consistency. More importantly, I held him accountable and pushed him to meet a higher standard, even on the days he didn’t feel like it.
He stayed with it, and everything started to change.
Now he can go through three back to back tennis matches. He’s lifting, bench press, box squats, deadlifts. Stronger, more functional, moving with ease.
Yes, he looks better, but more importantly, he performs better.
