Woochu Sports Arena is not only known for football, but we are also home to one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. Yes, you guessed it right—PICKLEBALL!

Today at Woochu Sports Arena, Pickleball in Bhutan — in collaboration with the Global Sports Association — is running a one‑day basic coaching program. It is being led by Mr. Stephen Dale DeVoss (President, Global Sports Association), Joseph Nirmalraj Rajendran (Regional Representative, South Asia), and coach Aaron Vernon Trost, with support from the Woochu Sports Arena staff. Participants from schools, monasteries, and nunneries are joining enthusiastically. A big thank you to our international guests, coaches, staff, and every learner helping grow Pickleball in Bhutan

Today at Sports Arena we are proud to host an exciting international friendly between 𝐑𝐓𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 (𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞). This landmark event brings top-level pickleball to Bhutan and shows how our sport is growing stronger every day. A huge thank-you to the organizers for brings international competition and learning opportunities to our courts.

We extend a warm Bhutanese welcome to the visiting Top Pro Pickleball team and to our friends from RTC. Your presence raises the standard of play and inspires local players, young athletes, and fans. Expect fast rallies, great sportsmanship, and plenty of thrilling moments as players exchange skills, strategies, and friendship across the net.

Pickleball in Bhutan is deeply grateful to everyone who chose to play here today. Let’s keep growing pickleball together — on and off the court!
