National Director, Special Olympics Bhutan

Are you a visionary leader passionate about sports, inclusion, and empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities? Special Olympics Bhutan is looking for a dynamic National Director to lead our mission of building a more inclusive society through the power of sport.

In this senior leadership role, you will drive strategic growth, forge high-level partnerships, and oversee nationwide programs that align with Bhutanโ€™s values of Gross National Happiness (GNH).

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation of strategic plans and unified sports programs.
Partnerships & Fundraising: Secure resources and manage relationships with government agencies, donors, and NGOs.
Operations & Finance: Manage day-to-day operations, budgets, and a dedicated team.
Advocacy: Represent Bhutan at national and international forums to promote the rights of athletes.

Who We Are Looking For:
A Bachelorโ€™s degree with extensive professional experience.
5-7 years of senior leadership experience (NGO, sports, or development sectors).
Expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, and team management.
Fluency in English and Dzongkha.

The BWF and Special Olympics are pleased to publish an updated version of the Special Olympics Badminton Coaching Guide (2026 edition). With more than 13,000 coaches delivering badminton to 137,000+ Special Olympics athletes on a weekly basis, this guide serves as an excellent tool to further support and enhance badminton within the Special Olympics movement.

The Badminton Coaching Guide brings together a combination of BWF and SOI resources, including elements from the BWF Shuttle Time and Coach Education Programmes.
