𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡 | 𝗘𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗

BDF XI Ladies Team participated at the 5th Annual Jwaneng Mine GM Soccer Fiesta held this past weekend in Jwaneng.

The tournament brought together four of Botswana's top women's football clubs, namely Gaborone United, Double Action FC, Jwaneng Galaxy Ladies and BDF XI Ladies, providing a highly competitive platform ahead of the new season.

Our opening fixture ended in a 5-0 defeat to the reigning Botswana National Women's League Champions, Gaborone United Ladies Team, before another challenging encounter against hosts Jwaneng Galaxy Ladies saw us finish fourth, earning a prize of P4,000.

While the results were not what we had hoped for, this tournament was never just about the scoreline. Fresh from the off-season, the Jwaneng Mine GM Soccer Fiesta provided an important opportunity for the technical team to assess the squad, integrate players, evaluate combinations and identify areas for improvement ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Every preseason has its lessons, and we leave Jwaneng with valuable experience, renewed determination and a clearer understanding of the work ahead.

We congratulate the organisers on another successful tournament and thank Jwaneng Galaxy FC for the invitation and warm hospitality.

To our supporters, thank you for your continued belief. This is only the beginning of our journey. We will learn, improve and come back stronger.
