We filled up the National Stadium, awakened the economy, and proved that Botswana has what it takes to host world-class events! 🙌🏾🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️

Now it’s time to keep the momentum going! This Saturday, 9 May 2026 we head to Kanye — Kwa Ga Pheretlha Dichaba-Bathoen! ⛰️🇧🇼
We will be stomping through the beautiful hills of Kanye — from MmaKgodumo, Polokwe, Gamokongwana, Matlhabanelo, all the way to Goora Montshiwa! 🌄🔥

This is truly a Runner’s Paradise! 🏃🏾‍♂️💨💚

Batswana, come out in numbers and support our social running teams. There are many ways to contribute: 🍲 Apaya tlhogo and stand by the roadside for runners to nibble as they pass
🐐 Donate a goat
💧 Set up a water station and hand out water to runners
👏 Cheer and motivate the athletes along the route

The Trans-Kalahari Tough 21 is an annual running event proudly held in Kanye, Botswana 🇧🇼 — built for warriors, dreamers, and lovers of the road.

🌍 This event celebrates the mighty Trans-Kalahari Road, a powerful corridor connecting South Africa 🇿🇦 – Botswana 🇧🇼 – Namibia 🇳🇦.
It’s more than just a road — it’s an economic lifeline carrying fuel ⛽, coal 🪨, and countless essential goods across borders.

🏞️ But beyond the road, TKT 21 is a celebration of Kanye’s breathtaking landscape.
If there is a runner’s heaven in Botswana… Kanye is it. 🙌

The route is one of the toughest and most rewarding courses you’ll ever face:
📍 Starting at Mmakgodumo Dam
➡️ Through Gakgolo
➡️ Passing Matlhabanelo
➡️ Conquering Goora Montshiwa
⛰️ With its massive inclines, this is not just a run — it’s a test of endurance, grit, and mental strength.
