⚽ Introducing Mopipi Social Club

We are pleased to welcome Mopipi Social Club (Mopipi SC) to our upcoming Independence Fundraising Tournament, marking their second consecutive participation.

Last year, Mopipi SC's campaign ended in the opening game. This year, they return with another opportunity to compete, connect and enjoy the spirit of social football. 🔥⚽

Established in 1989 and based in Tlokweng, Mopipi SC was originally formed by members of the Batshabelo Constitution Society and later welcomed other community members. The club has also received support from individuals including senior citizens and Prince Kay, a Nigerian music producer and artist.

Mopipi SC also made history as the first Sunday soccer team to release a unity song, an Afrobeat single titled “Shaya Mopipi Shaya.” 🎶⚽

📚⚽ PLAY FOR A PURPOSE

This year's tournament is also an opportunity for Mopipi SC and all participating teams to support the Matlala CJSS Play 4 Education initiative.

With approximately 1,050 learners and limited classroom space at Matlala CJSS, the initiative aims to raise P60,000 towards refurbishing an Outside Teaching Area, creating additional space for teaching and learning.

Football brings us together, but together we can make a difference beyond the pitch. 🤝🏽

Welcome back, Mopipi SC! Let's compete, connect and Play for Education. ⚽📚
