Day 2 of SSBA Easter Basketball Camp ✔️ 🏀

A big thank you to our SSBA volunteers and the Western Ballaz players for taking the time to guide and inspire our young athletes. The kids had an amazing time on the court, especially getting to play alongside their Ballaz stars!

For tomorrow’s session, all participating primary school students will receive a free ticket to the next Western Ballaz game on Saturday, April 11. Everyone will also go home with a special Easter treat. 🐣

We appreciate you sending out your kids and look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for the final day of camp!

Send your kids to the Victor Galvez Stadium for the SSBA Easter Basketball Camp this week! Kids will have the opportunity to build their skills, have fun, and interact with the Western Ballaz players who will be assisting at the camp. The camp starts on Monday and it’s free of cost. SSBA Basketball Teams Visited Flores, Peten
February 1, 2026

The San Ignacio and Santa Elena Basketball Association (SSBA) took 7 junior teams to play against teams from Academia Flores Island, in San Benito, Peten on Saturday, January 31. Over 70 youth players participated in this exchange program, with 2 female teams representing the Under 10 and Under 16 divisions and 5 male teams in the Under 10, Under 12, Under 15, Under 16 and Under 18 divisions. The 2 female teams loss by an average of 8 points, while the 5 male teams won by an average of 12 points. The San Ignacio and Santa Elena Basketball Association continues its weekly Saturday camps from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. as they continue to teach the fundamentals of basketballs to the youths in our local community. All kids are welcome to attend, free of cost.

The NEBL season is loading and the Western Ballaz will be hosting tryout sessions this week. Interested players are encouraged to attend.

🎁 SSBA CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE 🎁

Today’s SSBA Christmas Toy Drive was an incredible success! We’re grateful to everyone who volunteered their time to wrap and distribute gifts. A very special thanks goes to Howard Castillo for his heartfelt generosity in providing presents for all the children at Arms of Love Primary School, Santiago Juan Preschool and San Ignacio Preschool. Seeing the little ones rush to Santa with hugs and glowing smiles reminded us all of the true spirit, joy and warmth of Christmas.
