To every paddler who lined up at the starting line of the 2nd Annual Battle of the Paddles, thank you. We appreciate the time, training, determination, and sportsmanship that each of you brought to the water.

Many of you noticed the improvements we made compared to last year. We are proud of that progress, but we also know there is still room to grow. We make mistakes, we listen to feedback, and we are committed to learning and improving with every race. Your advice, encouragement, and patience help us build something better for the future of paddling in this area.

We also ask everyone to remember that an event like this is only possible because of the generosity of our sponsors and partners. Their support funds the race, helps improve the participant experience, and allows us to continue promoting environmental stewardship through paddling. Without them, there simply would not be a Battle of the Paddles.

While crossing the finish line and winning prizes is exciting, the true purpose of this event goes far beyond competition. It is about bringing people together to experience and appreciate the incredible beauty of the Placencia Lagoon and we are fortunate to call home. It is about inspiring all of us to become better stewards of Belize's waterways and natural environment.

As we continue to grow, we ask for your grace and support, particularly as we work to improve race prizes, the overall race experience, and opportunities for participants in the years ahead.
