I had a fantastic time at on the weekend competing at the .
While my partner sadly missed the medal ceremony because we thought we had placed 4th I am so thankful for her dedication to our team and training. She worked her butt off to bring home a bronze.
So much fun and so much comradery.

Congratulations to all the athletes and competitors who participated and congratulations to the organizers, for a wonderful, fun and well run event.

Yesterday was the first day of Fall.
It's a bittersweet time for me, summer is by far my favorite season. I love soaking in the sunshine, being on my paddleboard and exploring the beautiful outdoors.
Much like the leaves outside I am ready to shift gears and embrace some cozier, pumpkin spice vibes.

I took the summer off to be with family and was adjusting to a new schedule of 2 kids in 2 different schools.
The hustle and bustle of summer is behind us and I am back!

Many moons ago a slogan was born "there's an app for that" and it's very true.

One of the ways to motivate yourself for lifestyle change is to combine something you are interested in/enjoy with something you don't,(yet) like exercise.

If you've known me a while you know I love birds, stemming all the way back to my college biology days. I enjoy hiking anyways but I've spiced things up with this app that listens to bird calls and tells you what bird is singing to you. How fun is that? If you're into that sort of thing. A good reason to get out onto the woods and see who you can find.

There are apps that incorporate running from zombies if that's your thing, or apps that unlock more characters the more you move ( like pokemon go,) even dungeons and dragons style adventures that has you move to battle your foe.

It's amazing what is available out there; exercise doesn't have to be un-enjoyable, or "not my thing."

You can make anything a habit with the right reinforcement. What interests you? How can you use that to better your life and your health?

Happy Mother's Day to all!
I had a day filled with some of my favorite activities and people. A picnic hike at moon rock on
A mother's day themed workout and some gifts from my kiddos. I love my muscles in the one drawing. I love that my children see me as strong. 💪
I hope all you mother's out there are doing some of your favorite things and feeling special and loved. 💕

Yesterday I got to compete at the at in Langley and had a phenomenal time. So much fun to cheer on my friends, team mates and fellow competitors. 4 workouts and so many sore muscles and a huge smile on my face.

Doesn't hurt that we placed third either.

Shoutout to my amazing teammates who pushed through some tough workouts.
