Amherst Ducks Take Leave of Absence from BSHL
The Amherst Ducks have announced that the organization will take a one-year leave of absence from the Beauséjour Senior Hockey League (BSHL).
This decision was not made lightly. Due to rising operating costs and the significant expense associated with maintaining a competitive roster, the organization has determined that stepping away for the upcoming season is the most responsible course of action.
The year away will provide the Ducks' ownership and management group with an opportunity to evaluate the long-term sustainability of the franchise, explore potential options for the future, and determine the best path forward for senior hockey in Cumberland County.
The organization would like to thank its players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and loyal fans for their continued support throughout the years.
"This is a pause, not necessarily an ending. We look forward to evaluating our options and determining what the future holds for Ducks hockey."

Ducks Face Elimination
The Ducks built a 3–2 lead in the second period, battling hard against Dalhousie. A few power-play goals and costly mistakes shifted the momentum, leading to a 9–3 final.
Amherst got away from their game plan late but will look to get back to what was working for much of the game.
