🏒 THAT’S A WRAP — DIGBY CAMPS 2026! 🏒

What an incredible way to finish our 2026 Para PowerPlay Digby Hockey Camps!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the players, families, and members of the Digby community, all of West Nova and the province who supported us throughout this year’s camps. Your support is what makes these programs possible, and we hope every player leaves the ice with new skills, great memories, and an even bigger love for the game.

We also want to recognize some amazing community supporters:

The funds raised through Para PowerPlay hockey camps help support our charitable work, programming, equipment, and opportunities for persons with disabilities. When families support our camps, they aren’t only investing in their child’s development — they’re also helping us give back to others in our communities.

🏒 SUNDAY'S A WRAP ON PARA POWERPLAY CAMPS! 🏒

We’re wrapping up an awesome month of camp in Digby Sunday, September 27th with a game for both camp groups!

🔥 1:00 PM — 2020–2018
🔥 2:30 PM — 2017–2013

⭐️Game for older group will start at 3pm⭐️

Make sure you are there early and ready to go for 2:30pm. Coaches need to do lines and there will be a warmup. We will be going over instructions in the dressing rooms.

The final ice time brings together players from both Power Skating & Skill Development for a chance to put their work into action, compete, and have some fun on the ice.

Parents, family and supporters are invited to come out, watch, cheer and celebrate their player! 👏🏒
A huge thank-you to every player, parent, coach and volunteer who helped make these camps happen. The energy, effort and love for the game have been incredible.

🏒 Happy National Coaches Week! 🏒

Today we’re celebrating Justin Gauthier — President & Head Coach of Para PowerPlay.

Justin’s hockey journey is anything but ordinary. After losing his leg at just 5 years old, he fought his way back to the sport he loved, eventually playing AAA, Junior and Senior hockey and representing Team Canada at the Standing Amputee World Championships — winning two World Championships and earning Top Forward & Top Scorer honours.

But his biggest impact may be what he’s building now. ❤️‍🔥

Justin is passionate about making sport more accessible, affordable and inclusive, and he brings that passion to every player he coaches.

He doesn’t just coach hockey. He creates opportunities. He builds confidence. He changes what people believe is possible.

Thank you, Justin, for giving back to the game that gave you so much. 🏒💙💚

We’re celebrating the incredible coaches who give their time, energy and heart to Para PowerPlay.

Our coaches do so much more than teach hockey

They create opportunities, build confidence, push athletes to believe in themselves, and help make the rink a place where everyone belongs.

From long afternoons on the ice to late evening travels, to those little moments that make all the hard work worth it — thank you for showing up, believing in our athletes, and helping our not for profit grow.

🏒 PARA POWERPLAY CAMP UPDATE! 🏒

Skates are on and the hockey is happening! 💙💚

Our Para PowerPlay camps are underway, and it’s been great to see athletes working on their skating, puck control, passing, shooting and overall game skills while getting valuable time on the ice.

We’re focused on creating quality hockey opportunities for athletes of different abilities—and keeping the emphasis where it belongs: on the ice, developing skills and enjoying the game.

And there’s an important piece behind these camps: your registration fees go right back into para sport in our community. The funds help Para PowerPlay continue offering programs and opportunities such as youth para hockey, adult para hockey, goalball, and other para-sport initiatives.

So when you register for a camp, you’re not just paying for ice time—you’re helping us put more opportunities on the ice and into the community. 🏒
