[02/10/16]   This is a course which examines various nutritional,psychological,social, cultural, and global factors that influence people's food choices and customs.Applicants will learn about current Canadian and world wide issues related to food, frameworks for making appropriate dietary choices, and food-preparation techniques. This program refines your skills used towards researching and investigating issues related to nutrition and the human body. The curriculum for Canfit establishes the bridge between theoretical knowledge of personal training (Cardiovascular system,bio-mechanics, anatomy and physiology) and applying it to real life situations. Once you obtain knowledge and learn how to safely/effectively guide participants through exercise regimes. You will then gain access to monitor practice clientèle to achieving results based on the physiological response of exercise. This class enables your ability to explore the benefits of lifelong participation in active recreation and healthy leisure. Students will develop strong communication skills, teamwork, leadership,coordinating skills, and interpersonal skills. These will be used in collaboration with planning, organization, safety implement recreational events and other activities related to healthy active living. You will learn how to promote healthy active living to others through mentoring and assisting them in making informed decisions that enhance their well-being. This program will prepare you for university programs in physical education,health,health promotion, kinesiology,recreation, and leisure management.
