Today, I’m rather grateful for the opportunity to work out.
Working on cleans again has been challenging and humbling and I’m rather excited to have a goal to work toward.
What lifts are you guys looking to improve?

I’m here for the journey, not the destination.
I love training, I love helping people, I love understanding movement patterns and how muscles fire and I love being wrong because it gives me the opportunity to learn.
Sometimes we think being wrong or asking for help is a weakness, when in reality it’s a strength.
Being wrong is an opportunity to grow and become better whether it be in your work life, family, relationship or gym life.
Try not to take being wrong as someone attacking you, instead, look at it as them saying “you’ve put the wrong puzzle piece in”.
Now that may not be their intention, maybe whoever’s calling you out wants to be malicious.
What matters is how you take it, and what you do next.

VITAMIN D
Vitamin D is pretty cool. It undergoes 2 hydroxylations - one in the liver then in the kidney.
🐟 aids in the absorption of calcium
🐟 anti-inflammatory
🐟 good for brain health, immune health
🐟 fat soluble (eat before you take it)
🐟 involved in cell regulation
I don’t really know why I’m shouting out vitamin D on Instagram but it’s made daily physical activity better, and my mental health.
So until the summer months come back, hit up some vitamin D and see if you notice a difference.

Swipe for a lockdown transformation ➡️
From working out with nothing but under 10lb DB to building an at home gym with 400+ lbs of weight, it’s been a fun ride (that is continuing)
Life has been stressful, tiring, I’ve cried, had mental breakdowns, been happy, enjoyed life... and it all would repeat in a weird cycle.
I’ve learned that I’ve been neglecting my body. I was trying to listen to everyone else at Movati except for myself because I doubted myself, and unfortunately people instilled doubt.
Staying home and learning about my body via exercise has not only broadened my knowledge of exercise across different styles of training, but it’s also given me the opportunity to understand myself, and how my body should work out.
It’s been a wild ride and although I would rather have not been in a pandemic, sometimes you have to hit some type of rock bottom to humble yourself and understand what you have to do to grow. Not for anyone else, but for you.
Anyway I think the first photos are 150~ and the latter 2 I’m sitting at 130-135.
No crazy diets. Few days of accidentally forgetting to eat. Stress. But over all that, just eating what I want to eat, in moderation.
Take time and learn about what your body needs, and then provide it with nourishment and watch how you grow. Not just physically, but mentally.
