The more you practice, the more you realize how much you don’t know.

Physios- Your clinical exam will never determine the definitive diagnosis. It’s only what you can come up with based on your experience, knowledge, skill, and intuition. And that’s okay.
Only diagnostic imaging will confirm (or refute) your diagnosis.

With that said, by the grace of God, every patient who has been assessed by me, and then went for imaging afterwards, my diagnosis has been confirmed. 100% of the time so far (touch wood).
It’s also because when I am unsure, I straight up tell the person I am not sure. AND THAT IS OKAY.
It’s OK to not know.
In fact, I found that patients respect me more when I tell them that I’m not sure.
