Playing with my toys!
This comparison is a bit unfair for two reasons: 1) I have been playing with the Ai Pro for the last 3 months, and more important, 2) the Gambler has very old Gewo Neo 325 rubbers with little grip left. Others have newer Gewo Neo 325 or 350 (on Ai Pro) and Tibhar MXP on backhand. The main message is that the Wizard blade, only 100 bucks, is a pretty good blade for me and I should do well with good new rubbers (like Gewo Proton 350 or Tenergy 05 if I want to burn some cash!)

Sometimes people ask if the club accepts children...well our club is primarily for seniors (over 55) who are members of the Nordbridge Seniors Centre and those have priority to use the tables. Younger players can use the tables if available including children. Most players are competitive and play within their competitive group. Everyone is welcome to join and play subject to table availability and preferably you should bring your partner to play to ensure you have someone to play with. Most times there may be a few recreational players that may play with you. If you bring your child, you are responsible to play with them and there is no coaching. Sorry if this is not very inclusive, but this is the reality.

It is time to bring back our Christmas Party! We have not done one after the pandemic. We hope to have lots of seniors from the downtown club joining us! We will register current players first, but there is usually room for new ones if anyone is interested email me at [email protected]

Congratulations Logan Parr! Under 600 champion at the CUSTTA Calgary tournament today.
Congratulations to the New Lethbridge Table Tennis Champion: Zach Parr! He won against Jerry (3-2), Hector (3-0), Matt (3-1) and Austin (3-0) last night and lost to Dave? Well done! Now we are all gunning for you haha!
Take note that from now on we start at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays.
The beauty of table tennis: players of similar levels can all win against each other in a given day. Last Wednesday Jerry won against all (lucky to win against Logan!), except he lost 3-0 to Matt, who lost to me 3-2. The most important thing is that we all had fun. Hope all did, including those who come just to play for fun.

I think this is about the cheapest combo I could put together for a beginner; but may have to add shipping if you cannot get it delivered to the USA. There may be other similar brands. Gewo rubbers would be faster (German) but would add another 25 usd.
