Today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who help make our lacrosse community so special.

From dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, guardians, coaches, mentors, and volunteers—thank you for the time, support, encouragement, and countless hours you dedicate to our athletes and our sport.

Whether you’re behind the bench, in the stands, driving to games, helping with equipment, or simply being there when your player needs you most, your impact does not go unnoticed.

Wishing all fathers and father figures a fantastic Father’s Day from everyone at CDLA!

Cheer for effort, encourage growth, and support every athlete on the field—regardless of the jersey they wear.

When we lift each other up, everyone wins.

Reminders From Your Player

I’m a child.
Referees are human.
My coaches are volunteers.
This is just a game.

Please let me play, learn, and have fun.
Cheer loudly, support respectfully, and lead by example.
The way adults act on the sidelines matters to every player on the floor.

Let’s keep lacrosse safe, positive, and enjoyable for everyone.

Happy Mother’s Day from Calgary District Lacrosse Association!

Today we celebrate all mothers, grandmothers, stepmoms, guardians, mentors, and mother figures who support, encourage, and cheer on our athletes both on and off the floor.

Thank you for the countless rides, early mornings, late nights, team snacks, words of encouragement, and unwavering support that help make our lacrosse community stronger every day.

We appreciate everything you do for our players, teams, officials, and communities.

Wishing all the amazing mother figures in our lacrosse family a wonderful Mother’s Day!

The Green Arm Band is a reminder to everyone:

Respect the officials. Protect the game.

Remember to be kind and encouraging — just like athletes, officials need time to grow and improve.

Calgary District Lacrosse is launching a new initiative to support our young officials.

You may see a Green Arm Band worn by officials under the age of 18. This is not an indication of experience — it simply identifies age and serves as a reminder to all participants and spectators:

Respect the officials. Protect the game.

Our young officials are learning, developing, and giving back to the sport they love. Without them, there is no game.

Let’s lead by example:
Respect from the stands
Respect from the bench
Respect on the floor

Together, we create a safe and positive environment for all involved in lacrosse.
