Lethbridge Minor Football Assocation

Football Alberta is pleased to announce the opening of coaching applications for our 2027 Provincial Flag Football Teams. We invite dedicated and passionate coaches to apply to become part of the Team Alberta program and help lead our athletes on the national stage. We are accepting applications for the following male and female teams:

Youth Teams:

U14 Male & Female (Birth Years: 2014, 2015)

U16 Male & Female (Birth Years: 2012, 2013)

U18 Male & Female (Birth Years: 2010, 2011)

Adult Teams:

Junior U20 Male and Female (Birth Years: 2008, 2009)

Adult Division Male and Female (Birth Years: 2008+)

A new coaching staff will be selected for all programs; those that apply must be willing to accept a one year commitment to Football Alberta (2027 season). The option to extend coaches for a second year may be considered for the 2028 season should it be mutually agreed upon by Football Alberta and the coach.

We are inviting coaches to apply to become part of our Alberta Provincial Team Tackle Programming. All Provincial Teams will be accepting applications, this includes the following programs:

Male Tackle Football:

U19 Team Alberta Indigenous (Staff with a First Nations, Métis, Inuit background will be given preference for these positions)

U18 Team Alberta (Canada Cup Tournament)

U17 Team Alberta

U16 Team Alberta

Female Tackle Football:

U18 Team Alberta

U16 Team Alberta

A new coaching staff will be selected for all programs; those that apply must be willing to accept a three-year commitment to Football Alberta (2027 to 2029 seasons).
The first year of the three-year commitment for tackle will serve as a probationary period, Football Alberta reserves the right to relieve all or some of the coaches from their duties if it is felt that they are not what a program requires going forward.

Join us as we officially open the Lethbridge Sport Bank, a community-based sport equipment distribution centre designed to increase access to sport for children, youth, and adults across our region.

Monday, August 17
Event begins: 10:30 a.m.
Grand opening program and ribbon cutting: 11:00 a.m.

Stay after the program for a Community BBQ presented by Sobeys Uplands and outdoor family activities.

Lethbridge and area has 4 girls playing for Football Alberta this year.

Female Football Western Showcase The popularity of tackle football is on the rise among females in Alberta, and one organization is hoping to offer an earlier path into the sport.

Congrats to our Jr Steel! Great way to wrap up the season. The Steel took home the leadership award, coach of the year and team spirit award.

ethbridge Summer Camp

📍 University of Lethbridge turf
📅 July 6-10, 2026, 9:30am-3:30pm
👥 Ages 8-18

Five days built to develop athletes: Win the summer and walk into the fall season ready. Shells football (helmet and shoulder pads), position-specific development, film study on Hudl, and a pro-style combine with NFL-grade laser timing, with every player added to our national database. Players leave with more tools in their toolbox, more confidence, and ready to chase their goals this season.
