Most busy professionals don't quit training because they're lazy. They quit because their plan only works in a perfect week.

So plan for the bad week too.

Normal week: 2 full sessions.

Bad week: 2 × 25 minutes.

Old way: nothing until things "calm down" (they don't).

Page 2 is the exact 25-minute session I give clients for weeks like that. Save it for your next one.

I coach in person in Calgary and online anywhere. If your training keeps falling apart around work, send me a message.

It's mid-October. Dark when you leave, dark when you get home. This is the month people quietly stop.

Nobody decides to quit. You miss Tuesday because of the roads, skip Thursday because you're wrecked, and by December you've trained four times in a month and you're telling yourself January.

Here's what nobody says about the next five months: they're the whole year.

The person who trains through a Calgary winter doesn't arrive at spring back on track. They arrive already five months in. The person who stops arrives at January at zero — needing something twice as aggressive to get anywhere by summer.

Same two people. One did the boring thing in the dark.

So lower the bar until it survives winter. Two sessions you'll actually do beats four you'll abandon by November. Keep the primaries, cut the accessories, be home before the roads get bad.

You're not trying to make progress right now.

You're trying to still be here in March.

You’re not training for today.

You’re training for the version of yourself you’re going to have to live with 10, 20, 30 years from now.

Because eventually, the goal stops being a six-pack.

It becomes being able to get off the floor without thinking about it.

Carrying your groceries without your back hurting.

Playing with your kids — or your grandkids — without needing a recovery day.

Getting up the stairs without feeling like your lungs are going to leave your body.

Travelling without worrying about whether your body can handle it.

The strength you build today becomes the freedom you have later.

And the uncomfortable truth?

You don't suddenly become weak, immobile, and unhealthy when you're older.

You usually lose a little bit at a time.

A little less muscle.
A little less strength.
A little less balance.
A little less activity.

Until one day, things you used to do without thinking become things you can't do at all.

That's what training is really for.

Not just looking better in the mirror.

Building a body that can keep up with the life you actually want to live.

Train today. Keep your options open tomorrow.

Most people think remote coaching is the budget version of personal training.

I get it. Nobody's standing next to you counting reps.

But even my in-person clients only see me a few hours a week. Their results come from the other 160-something: the sessions they run alone, what they eat on a random Tuesday, whether they still train when work gets busy.

Remote coaching is built for those hours.

You get a program written around your schedule, your gym, and your joints. Every block comes with a note from me about why it's there and what you should feel. And you get someone who notices when your squat has been stuck for a month, before you quietly give up on it.

If you've been training on your own and it stopped working a while ago, that's the missing piece.

DM me "REMOTE." I'll ask you a few questions and tell you honestly if it's a fit.
