As today, June 30, marks the last day of Indigenous History Month, we are honoured to release this beautiful painting of Astokomii Smith and Elbow River Camp at the Calgary Stampede, done by Karen Coe Fine Arts. This painting is a beautiful two-page spread in our upcoming book, S is for Stampede. Smith was the 2019 Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess and she is also the current Indigenous liaison for the town of Strathmore, AB.
