World Championship Team Selection Policy:
An expression of interest is the mechanism by which athletes confirm their intention to compete and accept a place at the Age Group World Championships if they qualify. By expressing intent, the results can be filtered to a final list of athletes who wish to compete at the World Championships, and places can be “rolled-down”. The application will open 3 weeks before each race and close the day before the event. Link to apply for EOI:

Which events does the 2022 program qualify for? The 2022 Age Group World Championship Qualification events will qualify athletes to the 2023 Age Group World Championship Teams for the following events:
• 2023 Multisport World Championship – Ibiza, Spain (April 29 – May 7, 2023)
o Sprint and standard duathlon, aquathlon, long course triathlon and long course aquabike
• 2023 Sprint and Relay Championship – Hamburg, Germany (July 13-16, 2023) o Sprint Triathlon and Mixed Team Relay
• 2023 World Triathlon Championship Final – Pontevedra, Spain (dates TBD) o Standard triathlon, standard aquabike, super sprint triathlon

World Qualifier Sprint non draft triathlon (750 m swim, 20 km bike (10 km out and back), & 5 km run)

(5 km run,20 km bike (10 km out and back), 2.5 km run)
Supersprint Triathlon (375 m swim, 10 km bike (5 km out and back) & 2.5 km run)
Supersprint Duathlon (2.5 km run – 10 km bike (5 km out and back) & 1.25 km run)
World Qualifier International Aquathlon (750 m swim – 5k run)
Course Outlines
Standard Triathlon bike course– 10 km bike out and back = 20 x 2= 40 km
Sprint (non draft) Triathlon and Duathlon bike course – 10 km bike out and back= 20 km
Supersprint Triathlon and Duathlon bike course- 5 km bike out and back= 10 km
Standard run= 10 km ( 5km out and back = 10 km)
Sprint run = 5 km ( 2.5 km out and back = 5km)
Supersprint- run 1 = 2.5 km (1.25 km out and back = 2.5 km) duathlon run #2 = 1.25 km ( 625 out and back)
Includes events for all ages and abilities; supersprint triathlon, sprint draft legal triathlon ( Canada Games athletes only), sprint non draft triathlon, standard triathlon, standard aquabike, supersprint and sprint duathlon and international aquathlon.
