Colour correction!

My beautiful client had over six months of regrowth and was looking to find more harmony in tone and level.
Step 1. connecting her base colour (currently natural ash) and highlighted colour (currently very brassy). We were striving to warm up and lift her base colour two levels, then brighten and neutralized her previously lightened (now brassy) hair without bleach.

Step 2: brighten and lighten the hair around the face. I placed micro babylights around her face and crown area, toned out a little bit of the warm in her new base colour, and treated her previously coloured hair with olaplex.

Step 3: create a colour gradient for a more natural grow out. I “tapped” her regrowth area with a slightly darker Demi permanent colour to allow for a subtle shadowing effect.

Getting your perfect blonde doesn’t always come easy but it’s always worth it.

Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent, hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.
- Dwane Johnson

How do you maintain weight loss long term?
Stop identifying with the old you.
Until I identified with being a healthy, fit, disciplined person, I was the girl who was always on the next diet craze using the cardio equipment to punish myself if I went off track.
I decided I was disciplined, strong, fit, and healthy and proved it to myself every day by showing up. When I screwed up, I forgave myself and got back on track.
After two years, I hit my goal.
It wasn’t perfect, but I was consistent.
Here are a few photos from the two years it took to hit my goal and the two years following.
Align yourself with a new story and get to work. Show up for yourself especially on the hard days. Forgive yourself and pick yourself back up. You have what it takes.

“What do you think about yourself when you’re by yourself?
There’s no campaigning- no convincing anybody. There’s only the credibility you’ve earned with yourself or not.”

How do you earn credibility with yourself? How do you cultivate that self-worth?
Show up.
Do what you say you’re gonna do.
And on days when you don’t, own it, and don’t make excuses for yourself.
Grow- even if it’s terrifying.
I’m all about the self-care, self-love, TREAT YOURSELF movement but that’s only part of the equation. You gotta also practice tough love.
Tough love doesn’t mean beating yourself up after a fall. It’s making yourself get back up every time. It’s having the hard, honest conversations with yourself. It’s being brave enough to step outside of your comfort zone.
That’s where all the good s**t is.

“Confidence is deciding you’re unstoppable- not that you’ll never fail.”

Push, fail, grow. Push, fail, grow.
That was my life once I committed to my
That s**t was tough at first because I didn’t see the sequence so the time I spent focusing on my failures lasted much longer. But then I realized something: I was too focused on where I was. I kept resisting the present. I wanted to be at my goal NOW.
That’s what kept me in the vicious cycle of “push, fail, quit”. I realized my focus was amazing but it was on the wrong thing. I realized I was wasting energy resisting what I needed to accept.
Accept where you are.
Focus on where you’re going.

“Action is the most information-rich data stream. You’ll learn very little by going slow and even less by standing still.
Take action. Be bold. Do not be afraid to fail or even to be embarrassingly wrong.
You’ll learn, adjust, and rapidly outpace the person who’s taking baby steps.
If you truly believe that knowledge is power then never fear mistakes, only fear standing still.” -
If I waited until I knew how to use the gym equipment, I would have never ventured passed the cardio machines.
I had such a desire to be one of those women who walked into the gym and went directly toward the iron that I swallowed my pride and asked for help from those who knew, researched on my own time, and looked stupid when experimenting with machines, etc 😂
(Still do)
Action is the answer.

“People are always waiting for something to happen before they change their lives. But they have it backward; when you change your life, big things are more likely to happen.”

“Life will always be the most gruelling endurance sport. When you train hard, get uncomfortable, and callous your mind, you will become a more versatile competitor- trained to find a way forward no matter what.”- David Goggins

There is a laundry list of improvements between the left and right photo but the biggest ones are consistency and follow through.
I promised myself in Jan 2016 that I would show up for myself every day, no matter what. Some days I could only offer myself 20 mins of exercise, but I did it.
Why?
Showing up for yourself every day sends a message to your brain and your body.
Your confidence, self-worth, and courage sky rocket. Soon you will find yourself going after bigger, scarier goals you’ve only previously dreamed of.

The hip abduction and I are back at it again to deliver you some awkward (yet effective) moves to help you grow da b***y.
Lean forward, engage your core, push out slow, pop up. The main thing to focus on is your mind-to-muscle connection and keeping your glutes under constant tension.

03/12/2019

I’m here to get your glutes poppin’ today!
Play close attention to the movement of both exercises.
Exercise 1: focus on a hip-thrust-like motion
Exercise 2: squeeze glutes the entire time while trying to emulate a squat-like motion
10 reps each
3-4 sets
Big B***y Judy later 😂

I am aware that my bra is on inside out 😂
I was so excited about getting to the gym that I completely neglected basic details while getting dressed.🤔🤓
Anyway, here’s another “follow-along-through-this-mini-circuit” video.
Full circuit calls for 10 reps per arm/leg
3-4 rounds.
Bless xo
