The Maritime Football League lost a great friend over the weekend.

Terry Allen was instrumental in the success of the PEI Privateers football club, and was a wonderful voice of influence within the MFL.

He was the 2009 Volunteer of the year, but it would be difficult to find cause not to honour him with that award year after year. People of his quality are hard to come by.

Words like leader, articulate, and influential immediately come to mind when discussing Terry. When you read about the impact he had throughout the sporting and business world, it becomes very clear that many others share the same feelings as those of us in the football community.

To his friends, family, players, and anyone touched by his passing, we extend our deepest condolences. Terry will be missed.
