Okay… now I can finally tell you the story behind this one🥹
I fell in love with these beautiful hand-dyed alpaca yarns from Haun Farm | Alberta Fiber Farm , and they sat in my stash for way too long because I knew they needed to become something special!
One day I was sitting here looking at them, and had a 💡 moment! The idea for a hat came to me…. But not just any hat, it had to capture the essence of the yarn. Like alpacas raised, sheared, the fibre carded, spun, plied and colored—all by hand! So I sat down with that in mind, and these stitches and the eventual pattern just flowed from my hands (don’t get me wrong, there was still a ton of trial and error…and frogging😅).
And because this design was inspired by the beautiful yarn Bre created herself, it only felt right to name the pattern after her💜

I finally got to give her her hat and show her the pattern cover this week, and getting to tell her that I named it after her was such a special moment🩵
So this one will always have a little extra meaning for me🧶
