This evenings ladies class concentrated on chipping and putting. We focused on distance and strength of putt, then put our skills to the test on some challenging greens on the course. Well done ladies.

Today may not be ideal for golfing, but the beginning of the month saw Meadowlands Golf host the Zone 3 Junior Tournament. We were joined by a variety of the local four legged wildlife too. We found some new players on the 9th fairway at Meadowlands Golf today. The weather is suited only for the ducks and geese today.

Last week saw the sunshine tempting us out to the golf course. Meadowlands Golf course reopened ready for the brave to wrap up warm and head out to the greens. I have been getting phone calls from Abbotsford to fix/repair/insurance estimates of golf clubs that were underwater during the flood. If this has happened to you give us a call. We have "special" flood rates for grips, shafts, heads etc.

Chimo Golf would like to congratulate all of the Juniors who braved the wet and windy day yesterday at the Chilliwack Chiefs Kids Golf Tournament. We took along our SNAG (Starting New At Golf ) equipment under our tent and thoroughly enjoyed joining in with this worthy community event.

Chimo Golf are super proud of all the junior boys that made their way to the Championship Round of the Fred Wellsby Golf Tournament this past week. Congratulations to you all.

You never know what you are going to see when teaching on the golf course. These three popped up behind us yesterday whilst giving a hitting lesson! Absolutely beautiful.

First time out on the course for one of Chimos latest students. Back to the basics with a full explanation of the fairway, green and tee box. Overall a very successful first lesson, both returning for more.

After just 4 lessons our next student headed out on to the golf course for the first time. The very first hit with his new clubs, provided by Rosco of Chimo Golf was a great success. Congratulations on a start to many years of golfing.

This weeks junior lessons incorporated the versatility of Val's teaching skills in the putting and chipping area. Aim, plus how hard to hit the ball were covered in a fun and easy way. The chipping lesson used whiffle balls and a target to gain confidence.
