After a great turnout yesterday, the weekly ultimate pickup game has changed from Saturday Aft -> Wednesday Eve for July to August!

This means more awesome discers will be free for fun, flicks and frolicks!

Beach pickup is so back! Anyone down to carpool 🏖️🚗

⏰: Fridays, 6:00pm–8:00pm
🗓️: July 3rd, July 11th, July 17th and August 14th
📍: Parksville Community Park Large Sand Courts
❓Open to all skill levels, ages 13+

How does it work? Each evening starts with a quick warm-up, followed by team formation based on turnout and experience to keep games balanced and enjoyable. From there, we’ll jump into organized pick-up play—simple, fun, and flexible.

Please bring a WHITE SHIRT AND A DARK COLOURED SHIRT. Barefoot or sand socks—your call!

Games will follow standard Ultimate rules, adapted slightly for sand and smaller team sizes (usually 5-on-5 or fewer). Expect fast-paced, high-spirited action, with a focus on inclusive play and good sportsmanship.

Stick around! After each session, we’ll gather for a casual social hangout starting around 8pm. This will be hosted at Mount Arrowsmith Brewing | Vancouver Island Brewery & Smokehouse where if you tell them you’re a frisbee player with NUA you can get 10% off on food!

Our Saturday afternoon pickup is on today (Saturday, June 27) at Queneesh 3pm. Goalty or Ultimate based on numbers.

Did you know there is family friendly ultimate in the valley?

Family Ultimate is Tuesday night 7:30-8:30 on the field between Lake Trail and Puntledge schools.

It's not run by CVU but man do we love the chaotic fun and great family vibes. Kids of all ages are welcome with their parents and it's a great place to start getting your kids used to ultimate (and parents used to running)!

No equipment necessary - just turn up for some family fun!
