Do you have a kick ass home gym setup? We’d love to see some pictures of them! Post in the comments.
Having a kick ass home gym is great, especially with the current state of the world. Are you struggling though with finding programming that makes sense? Missing the community aspect of training with a group of pals?
We can help, for $45 per month we will provide you with a comprehensive at home program delivered thru our app with video demos of the movements, warm ups and prep work that complement the workout and the strength training system that is well thought out with a focus on the functional, meaning we will make your fitness applicable to real life. We also provide multiple options for equipment and loading because we understand not everyone will have all the same equipment or equipment at all.
You’ll belong to a small exclusive group who when possible also get together for fit clinics and special workouts as a team.
Send me a message if you are interested in an excellent at home program and are serious about getting fit this summer.

One year ago, Leslie Ramirez walked into CrossFit Muse in downtown Los Angeles weighing 307 pounds.
Now she’s lost 90 pounds and the soon-to-be family medicine doctor has no intention of stopping.

It’s nice to see CrossFit stepping up to help out the small local boxes .
This could also be a way for all of us to come together as a community and have a little fun and get a little sweaty 🙂
The Support Your Local Box Fundraiser is a CrossFit event for the benefit of CrossFit affiliates affected by COVID-19 around the globe.
Over a three-week period, CrossFit will release three classic and accessible workouts that can be performed by participants of any ability level. There is no registration fee, but you have the option of donating $20-$1,000 to the affiliate of your choice. All contributions will be given directly to CrossFit affiliates.
Registration takes place on the @crossfitgames website beginning on or before Wednesday, April 1, and will remain open for the duration of the competition. The first workout will be released on Friday, April 3.
With our current crisis, I've seen a lot more "immune-boosting" advertisements for products. There is some truth in some of the marketing, but you are better off focusing on a diet that CONSISTENTLY has a wide array of whole, unprocessed foods.
For example, protein is a VERY important part of the immune system. Antibodies? They are proteins. The chemical signals that controls the immune response (called cytokines)? They are proteins. To have cell division and differentiation into cells that will kill the virally-infected cells? Need protein for that.
But, it's a complex system. It's not just protein that is needed. Vitamins and minerals are needed in concert to help these processes run, as well as reduce the oxidative stress and inflammation that is a necessary (but damaging) process of the immune system to combat a virus. Focusing on any one thing is like building an orchestra with only drums. #notgonnawork

tech is great but goddamn we miss the people.
The health and well being of our members and community are at the core of what we believe in.
To do our small part to support social distancing to help our healthcare workers deal with the virus by slowing the spread we will be closed effective tomorrow thru the end of the month.
We will keep you all updated as we know more. Stay safe, follow the guidelines and be kind to each other.

A nice little partner metcon for tomorrow
The broom is still standing 😆
This might rile up a dementor or two but cross my heart and swear on Dobby it needs to be said...
You don’t need to destroy your mind body and soul in the gym.
You don’t need to be ded after every workout.
You don’t need to be so sore you can hardly sit on the toilet (unless you’re into that sorta thing).
You don’t need to punish yourself for your workout to be effective.
And you absolutely don’t need to (and never should) push through an injury or serious pain.
Sore, sweaty, and tired doesn’t mean your workout was better or more effective.
It means you‘re sore, sweaty, and tired.
And if you’re working your tuchus off in the gym but aren’t happy with your results, it might be worthwhile to reevaluate your plan.
Because it doesn’t take a great coach or program to make you sore, sweaty, and tired.
But it does take a great coach or program to produce real, visible results.
Having said that, and as Dumbledore once told me over a treacle tart, working out is NOT supposed to tickle.
If you’re doing it right there will be times in which you’re uncomfortable.
There will be times your muscles are burning in a safe, healthy, productive way - but still not comfortable.
There will be times you want to quit.
And there will be times you get nervous and question whether or not you’ll be able to make it the whole way through.
And that’s a good thing.
Because you’re trying. You’re pushing outside your comfort zone. You’re working to achieve your goals. And you understand success doesn’t come from avoiding pain - it comes from taking consistent, deliberate action, adjusting to each obstacle as it comes.
Sometimes adjusting means pushing forward. Other times it means taking a step back.
Either way, the most important thing to understand is you don’t need to put yourself at risk or push through an injury to see results.
That said, don’t forget the only way to change your body is by challenging it. No need to rush or go 100% every day, but push yourself. Challenge your body. Dig deep. See what you’re capable of. It’s probably much more than you think.
High rep snatches for general pop 🤢😬

"I have found this to be one of the most challenging things as an affiliate. People may assume that CrossFit is a franchise and what they get at one place is the same as every other. The truth is, aside from a few small requirements, an affiliate can be run nearly any way they want it to. This can be things like the culture that is created, programming, class structure, etc. All the way down to pricing, how you sign up, and what is required before jumping in on classes. I love it when people go to other gyms to see what they are like and get a new experience. It keeps me on my toes and often helps them see what they really have with our affiliate. You don't know if you don't know. The trick is the newcomers. We can do all we can to help educate them but it takes a concentrated effort on their part to take the first step. The next one is ours, helping them overcome the stereotype of previous experiences or assumptions."
