Fresh Start: Back to school September 5th at the downtown Library. Come get a haircut, backpack and school suplies. For kids in need. Feel great going back to school, age 5-18. Celebrities?

Entertainment, food trucks. Back to school is often a time of year that is met with excitement for both children and their parents. New beginnings and fresh starts. But for many local families, this time of year can be stressful. Costs of school supplies, back to school outfits and haircuts are quite expensive and many families simply cannot stretch their budget to include these added expenses. We feel strongly that every child deserves a fresh start for the new school year. And to help with that fresh start, we'd like to offer any school aged child a chance to pick up a backpack with school supplies, maybe a new outfit and a haircut. What do we ask for in return? Simply bring your favourite short story or drawing if you can’t read yet, down to The harbour front library September 4th 12:30-4:30. We are collecting donations of new school supplies, including backpacks and excellent condition used clothing suitable for a school aged child (5-18). Please PM to arrange drop off.
