THANK YOU to all the hunters who provided samples for the 2021 chronic wasting disease (CWD) surveillance program!
We’re happy to report that CWD was not detected in any samples.
Working together to monitor for CWD helps ensure that Ontario’s deer population remains healthy and will allow us to respond quickly if CWD does enter the province.

Getting closer to daylight hours!
Interesting read. Some people follow the moon phase and some people follow weather and temperature patterns. This read has a little knowledge on both.
What You Need to Know About the 2021 Rutting Moon Here’s the very most important thing you need to know about the 2021 rutting moon: It might not matter at all. It might be a load of hogwash. It might be a steaming pile of good ol' deer camp mythology. Or it might not. As my pal Spencer Neuharth likes to say, the rutting moon is kind of like...
With the colder temps in the forecast. We're going to be seeing these guys in the daylight!
