๐Ÿš€ Chapter 54 just wrapped up an incredible experience at the IRWA event in Omaha!
Connecting with fellow right-of-way and infrastructure professionals brought immense value. Beyond the great sessions on modern infrastructure trends, leadership training, AI in the Right of Way and exploring Omahaโ€™s historic connection to the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail provided a perfect reminder of how vital corridors and pathways shape our world.
Our agenda included a Zoo visit and baseball game - making for perfect summer nights! ๐ŸŒž
We are walking away with fresh industry insights, new connections, and renewed inspiration for our upcoming projects!
๐Ÿ‘ Huge thanks to the International Right of Way Association, Right of way Education Foundation and the Canadian Right of Way Education Foundation and the city of Omaha for hosting a phenomenal event.

Happy Canada Day! Celebrating Canada's rights-of-way (ROWs) honors the vast, strategic corridors that keep the world's second-largest country connected and powered.

1. Energy Superhighways

Trans-Canada Pipelines: Moves vital energy safely across thousands of kilometres of protected land.

Hydro Transmission Lines: Provincial and Crown agencies manage vast corridors to prevent grid failures.

2. The Rail Bedrocks

CN and CPKC Lines: Historic linear allowances that physically united the provinces and still drive billions in daily continental trade.

3. Smart Urban Transit

Ontario Line & REM Montreal: Maximizes existing rail and road ROWs to slice through dense, expensive downtown cores.

Digital Fiber Grids: Utilizes municipal street networks to bury thousands of kilometres of high-speed data lines.

4. Modern Stewardship

Indigenous Co-Management: Respects traditional territories while expanding critical green energy networks.

Pollinator Highways: Transforms cleared utility land into thriving ecological corridors for local wildlife and bees.

Celebrating cross-border leadership and professional growth! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our exceptional young professional members from IRWA Sea-to-Sky Chapter 54!

Please join us in celebrating Monique M., who has officially been awarded an international travel sponsorship to attend the upcoming YP Summit in Omaha, Nebraska! Monique will be heading south to represent British Columbian emerging infrastructure perspective and right-of-way professionals on a international stage.

Investing in the next generation of industry talent is a core mission of Chapter 54. Thanks to the incredible support of the IRWA Young Professionals this sponsorship removes financial barriers to high-level international mentorship. It gives our emerging leaders direct access to cross-border networks, technical workshops, and global best practices.

We know that Monique will do an outstanding job representing the Sea-to-Sky chapter. We can't wait to see the fresh perspectives, skills, and strategic connections they bring back home to elevate our local infrastructure projects in British Columbia.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Safe travels, Monique! Show them how we do things in Chapter 54!
