The maple I saved a few weeks back found a new home today. If I had a spot for it I would have kept it and trained it a little, but it went to a good place where it will be appreciated for a very long time.

Another from the graveyard!
This was done for next week, I saw the guy at the right time and got permission to make it disappear. It only took 1 1/2 hours to get out and I was able to get a nice size rootball. If I had a crew it may have been possible to save the whole thing, but I had to chop the top just to move it past the scaffolding, and, ya know, lift it. š

This weekendās project! Ask and ye shall receive. Iāve been eyeing this tree for a few years now, knowing the building would eventually be torn down, and luck would have it, itās 10 steps from my place. I just happened to ask the right guy at the right time.
Iām not sure if Iām going to move as is to my friends yard, it would look great, or if Iām going to chop and train. It probably depends on how much of a task it is to move.

Just hanging out today.
Itās going to be few days until I can move this to the roof, and for easier transportation, I wrapped the root ball. I think with a few bends this could make a decent .

Itās time to start saving trees again! A and I prepped last year needed to be removed (perfect timing!) so landscaping can begin. The maple only took me 2.5 hours to free, thankfully I was able to remove the wall in front, and the cypress was about 4.5 hours as the sidewalk was a bit of an obstacle.

Free tree!
You have to see those ads early to get the free ones, itās like playing the lotto. for the win, again!
I havenāt cleaned it up yet or exposed anymore trunk, but letās not beat around the bush here, itās not a pretty tree by any means and there will need to be a few big chops. Iāll build a training box and get it ready for fall/winter tomorrow. šš»

My goal with is to rescue unwanted landscape (at no cost for the owner) and preserve them for the next generations to enjoy.
and the surrounding areas are booming and older houses are being torn down at a rapid pace. Iāve seen many smaller trees that could have been saved with a phone call. Hopefully, Iāll be the one getting that call.
We are still in the āfiguring things outā phase but the 2 trees Iāve posted will be my first rescues. A beautiful, old and a that was treated to a bucket full of dirt when excavation began.
