Congratulations to the Stanley Bulldogs U15 Female Hockey Team on making history!

A huge celebration for the players, coaches, families, and Stanley Minor Hockey on this remarkable milestone for girls hockey in our region.

🏒🖤💛 A LITTLE PIECE OF STANLEY HOCKEY HISTORY!

For the first time, Stanley will have an official female hockey team competing in an organized league, and these are the girls making it happen!

We’re incredibly proud to introduce the 2026–2027 Stanley Bulldogs U15 Female Hockey Team! This is more than just a roster. It’s an exciting milestone for our community, an opportunity for these girls to represent Stanley, and the beginning of something special for future generations of female hockey players.

Here’s to making history, building friendships, and making our community proud!

Every young hockey player has someone they look up to. Someone who inspires them to work harder, dream bigger, and believe that one day, they too can accomplish something great. Getting the chance to meet that person is something they’ll remember for years to come.

Last night, our very own Rink Rebel, Ava, got to experience exactly that.

Ava had the opportunity to meet her idol, the legendary Hayley Wickenheiser, who was in Fredericton to receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick.

Hayley was incredibly kind, down to earth, and generous with her time. She had a great conversation with Ava, making the experience even more meaningful.

When Ava presented Hayley with a gift from the Rink Rebels, Hayley mentioned that she had actually been talking about the Rink Rebels earlier that very day!

For a small program right here in Fredericton, built on the belief that all girls deserve a place to belong in hockey, hearing that from someone who has done so much for the women’s game means a lot.

A huge congratulations to Hayley on this well deserved honour, and thank you for taking the time to connect with Ava.

Before leaving, Ava even invited Hayley back to Fredericton to spend some time on the ice with the Rink Rebels. We’re keeping our fingers crossed!

Who would love to see Hayley Wickenheiser back in Fredericton sometime soon, maybe even joining some Rebels on the ice? WickFest.

Congratulations on 500 NHL games, Jake! What an incredible milestone for someone who means so much to so many.

We’re so proud to have you as part of our Rink Rebels family. The kindness, generosity, and genuine support you’ve shown our girls and our community mean more than words can express. It’s not just what you’ve accomplished on the ice that makes you special, but the person you are off it and the difference you make in the lives of others.

You’ve helped create memories and inspire young girls who look up to you more than you know. That’s something that goes far beyond hockey.

From all of us in the Rink Rebels family, thank you for being you, Jake. We’re incredibly grateful for you and so happy to see you and your family celebrated for this amazing milestone.

What an honour!

An unforgettable experience in New York City as we celebrated Doug Grandy being named the 2026 NHL Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award winner at Madison Square Garden!

A heartfelt thank you to NHL Unites and Nora for making this incredible experience possible and for recognizing the people who dedicate themselves to making hockey a more welcoming and inclusive sport.

To our fellow finalists, Steven, Bill, Kendal, Vinnie and Sonny, thank you for everything you do for your communities. It was an honour to share this experience with you. Your passion and dedication are a reminder that hockey is so much more than a game. It is about creating opportunities, breaking down barriers and giving everyone a place to belong.

To Willie O’Ree, thank you for paving the way and continuing to inspire generations through your incredible legacy.

To our Rink Rebels families, players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters, this recognition belongs to all of you.

What started as a vision to create more opportunities for girls in hockey has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. None of this would be possible without the incredible people who believe in what we are building together.

Standing in Madison Square Garden and seeing that vision recognized on such an incredible stage is a moment we will never forget.

We return home with full hearts, unforgettable memories and even more motivation to continue creating opportunities for the next generation of female hockey players.

The future of female hockey is bright, and we are just getting started!
