This is our new horse, Jasper. He is making a name for himself. Today we had one of our very fun clients who is 4 and non-verbal. Jasper was absolutely enthralled! He was very gentle and patient with the client, more so than any of the other horses today. He also greets us in the field and is a total love bug! In this picture he came to say hi to me during evening chores. He gave me a big cuddle then headed to the field with the other horses.

It took me days to figure out a name for him. I finally settled on my favourite place to visit, because one of my favourite people lives there. Jasper AB is where my daughter lives ♥️ I think my luck is finally turning around. This new guy is amazing.

A big thank you to Full Circle Equine Veterinary Services for coming out to treat our mini horses Chance and Amy today. It's been a very sore spring, but we're looking forward to a much more comfortable summer. Jeff was also happy to lend a hand as vet tech for the appointment 😸

A tough day for our little boys. It was neutering day. There will be lots of cuddles and treats as they recover, but the pain meds are definitely working well tonight 💜

Ah, my very smart and cagey Mr. Andis 🙄

This horse came to us one year ago. In that time we saw what kind of trauma she'd been through. She was fearful, lacked confidence and was sometimes mildly aggressive. We couldn't touch her in the field. Lord help me if I had to catch her , it took ages! She would lunge at small children from her stall. She was pushy when on lead. She really only let me pet her when I had treats.

And today, here she is. I was sitting in the field (on the ground) watching the drama of the new horse unfold. He's being pretty pushy, so there has been lots of fighting. Spirit usually stands near me, but she got involved in one of the conflicts. Elora came right to me and stood over me, warning off all other horses to keep me safe. She gave me a lovely grooming too 😂

Horses don't come to us how we want them. We have to offer what they need first. Elora needed me to be calm, consistent, patient and unoffended. I could have ditched this horse the first time she lunged. Instead I put ropes across her door to ensure her safety. I gave her a stall away from people. I spent quiet time with her, watching, learning and adapting to her needs. She is respected and loved. And now she grooms me in the field ❤️

Symbolically, a grey horse is deeply rooted in mythology, dreams, and culture. It frequently represents transformation, spiritual progress, and the silver lining in life's challenges.

She looks like one of the toys!

My heart! Thanos (left) was my best boy for many years. Ronan (right) is his "replacement" and man is he hitting the mark!
