TDIH: (1987) John Hughes' sloop 'Joseph Young' was dis-masted in the Pacific Ocean, while Hughes was competing in the BOC Round the World race. Hughes, a resident of Dartmouth, NS managed to set a jury rig and rounded Cape Horn. He had the mast replaced in the Falkland Islands and completed the race. Hughes is featured in our Days of Sail gallery. https://maritimemuseum.novascotia.ca/what-see-do/exhibits/days-sail

Guild member Brad has now completed the second in his serial production run of River Class Destroyers. This one was presented to the Royal Canadian Navy's Command Chief for display in his office suite. The final product is getting closer to what the real ships will probably look like!

He's since started work on Version 3 which will be fully R/C, including some special features! Keep an eye out for updates!

Guild member Brad has been working on 3D printing a Type 26 Destroyer for a while now and has finished this prototype model. He has more in the production line, this one is a static display version. V2 is also going to be static as he works to improve and redo the print files. V3 will hopefully be RC.

This is portraying what the future HMCS Fraser could look like.

The real Fraser will have some different equipment and weapons than shown here, but this is a good representation.

Thanks to Great Hobbies for the help with decal paper!
