Wrestling Nova Scotia is looking for volunteers! Our AGM is coming up shortly and we are looking to fill the following positions:

The positions that 100% need filling are:
Excellence Director
Coaching Director
Participation Director
Secretary Executive

We are also looking for committee members for Excellence, Participation and Organizational effectiveness.

No wrestling knowledge needed for most positions.

Hello All,

There will be an evaluation session for all wrestlers who are eligible to compete in the Canada Games in August 2022. Athletes who were born from 2003 to 2007 are eligible to compete this coming summer.
The session will be held next Saturday, November 27th at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax from 1PM to 4PM.
Coaches: please email the name, date of birth, current approximate weight, and email of any wrestlers who you would like to attend this evaluation to [email protected]
Athletes: if you are interested in attending this evaluation, please email your information just mentioned to the same address to confirm your attendance.

The deadline to sign up for this evaluation is Wednesday November 27th. Proof of double vaccination status is required to enter the facility.

Good morning everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that your Team Nova Scotia Staff are missing getting out on the mats like the rest of you.

Times like these can be hard and I am sure even harder with the stresses of e-learning from home, not just for you but for your parents too.

In saying this there is always things you can be doing to stay in shape and not loosing your wind/cardio.

With the weather getting beautiful take sometime to put on some headphones and go for a run, do some yard work and rock some burpees out. STEP....SNAP.....SHOOT around the back yard.... this way the neighbors are not thinking the isolation has gotten to you ;)

Challenge yourself.... rock out your mental mindset and set the examples for others to look up to. We will be back at it faster than you know and we will Roar Back like the good Doctor Strang has said.

Don't make excuses...... make changes

Stay safe, stay positive and STAY HUNGRY!!

A Message from Team NS Wrestling Staff:

Good Morning Everyone,

First off we would like to say THANK YOU to all the wrestlers, coaches, and families who have taken time to support the Team Nova Scotia Wrestling Program. To say it has been a unique endeavour is an understatement, with the Olympics being postponed, and more relevant to us, the Canada Games being postponed to 2022.

As the second wave of COVID approaches with the number of cases increasing daily, there has to be some hard decisions made.

We want everyone to know that the number one priority is the safety of the coaching staff, athletes, families, and the communities they all live in. That is why effective immediately all Team Nova Scotia Wrestling practices and evaluations are postponed until after Christmas. We will be re-assessing in the New Year.

We would personally like to thank all of you for your support and efforts. It is early to say this but please enjoy your Christmas season safely, and we can’t wait to see what 2021 will bring us.

Wrestling Nova Scotia has partnered with RaffleBox for a 50/50 draw. Tickets are sold online and you can choose to support a named wrestler or general wrestling club. The money raised will help with registration fees, equipment, and travel costs for Nova Scotia wrestlers. The draw will take place on the 6th of September so there is still lots of time to sell!
