💦Tomorrow is the last day of National Drowning Prevention week so we want to share 3 tips on staying safe in and around the water💦⁠

🛟 Wear a lifejacket! Other devices that are trendy are designed to keep your child upright in the water instead of enforcing safe water practices and positions!⁠ Lifejackets push you into a backfloat when you are tired or out of balance! ⁠

🛟 Always swim with a buddy! Swimming with a buddy is one of the most effective ways to stay safe in the water. Even strong swimmers can experience cramps, get tired, or unexpected water conditions that make it difficult to get back to shore or stay afloat!

🛟 Never leave kiddos unattended and keep them within arms reach! Drowning can happen quickly and quietly. It doesn't always involve splashing or calls for help. Constant, attentive supervision is 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 whenever kiddos are in or around water!
