The Warlocks

Mother Nature threw a “monkey wrench “ at the Thames River Paddling Club today . After so many hours of planning , to have to call it after the first round of racing is such a disappointment . Thanks to the organizing committee for all your hard work … there’s always next year !

Practice ONE 2026 done and done! ‘‘T’was a cold and wet evening , but off we went with these two lovely ladies leading the way ! The universe rewarded us with a nice sunset on our way back to the dock , however to tell you the truth no one stayed to enjoy it as a warm shower was foremost in our minds 🤣

Let the games begin !! Warlocks are back . Boat launched today and ready for our first practice May 5th .
Thanks once again to Donna , Leo and Steve Reise for moving and helping to launch the boat . And it couldn’t have been done without some able bodied Warlocks to paddle her to her home berth .

A little over three weeks and we will be back out on the water 😎

And that’s a wrap on another wonderful winter training session at the Welland International Flatwater Centre .

Even on a Day recognizing women , we have a pretty special family to recognize today !
Donna Lue Reise, Leo Reise and son Steven dropped everything on this beautiful Sunday and headed to Cheifswood Park , to pick up our rented boat . Time is critical at this time of year as the Grand River rises and cuts off access to the stored boat .
