We are excited to announce; WE ARE OPEN!

The time has finally arrived. After months of trials and tribulations in our efforts to bring you the best training centre possible, we can welcome you in.

The road that's led here has been full of ups and downs. We've had to deal with construction delays, equipment shortages, covid restrictions and closures, water damage, and restoration. All the while, we've remained positive and focused on the result. It took a little longer than anticipated to get here, but we're confident it's all been worth it. We aim to bring you world-class martial arts training in a modern, clean environment conducive to training at the highest level.

We're excited to welcome you to our brand-new, prestigious training facility in Huntsville.

Come in for a visit, more information and to take advantage of our opening promotions.

Doors and Registrations are open.

Come in Monday to Thursday between 3 pm and 7 pm.

Just a few of our latest grading candidates donning their new belts.

It's been a long hard slog over the past year and a bit with no in-person classes. These successful grading candidates (and the others not pictured here), plus many other students have had the discipline and love of Taekwon-Do to continue anyway, putting in the work week after week.

I wasn't eager to do online gradings of any sort, but I came up with an intensive, detailed and strict grading process which tested each candidate to their maximum. While there are elements of training that can't be practiced and tested during a pandemic, the are many areas that can be. Because these areas receive more focus, a lot more is expected in terms of results in those sectors. Needless to say, I think everyone will be eager to go back to regular gradings after everything I put them through.

Congratulations 👏 to you all on your promotions. You worked incredibly hard, persevered and shone. You showed amazing improvement and I'm proud of each one of you.

It was a fantastic lineup of events this past weekend. It was enjoyed by all in attendance from our school.
Day 2 - IUC.
Today consisted of a very important talk from GM Trevor Nicholls discussing the various roles and expectations of INO/MO's, Masters, Instructors and Members within the ITF.
GM Nestor Galarraga and Master Maidana reviewed the tournament rules and amendments, plus an informative session on how to conduct proper judging for power breaking.
Master Boitano gave an informative talk on Adapted Taekwon-Do, how it should be judged in tournaments, and to promote inclusiveness of students with different conditions.
It was a well-rounded, highly beneficial weekend with many things to take away, practice and ponder.
Thank you to all involved in the organisation and running of the event. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Excellent first day of the Virtual IIC.
It consisted of a fantastic warmup and stretching routine by Master William Howard, a presentation on the science behind Taekwon-Do technique and power development by GM Ebel Barat, and all the 1st and 2nd Degree patterns - led by GM Trevor Nicholls and GM Nestor Galarraga.
It was well structured and organised. Many technical areas that present confusion were covered and cleared up. It's so important to attend these events as all official updates are disseminated to the world through IIC's. To be sure you are performing and passing knowledge on to your students correctly, these seminars are a MUST.
Tomorrow we continue with more. I'm looking forward to another day of training.

Today was a fantastic opportunity for some of our colour belts to take part in a Grand Master Class for Kup levels. It followed fro the IIC held earlier in the day.
It consisted of an interesting talk by GM Mario Troiano on the history and philosophy of Taekwon-Do. It was followed by all the colour belt patterns from Chon-Ji to Choong-Moo led by GM Trevor Nicholls, GM Nestor Galarraga and Master Jose Maidana.
Many areas were covered and it was fantasic for learning and reinforcement of technique.
Well done to all the students in attendance. Your dedication and commitment is admirable.
I always say, you will spend your time, effort and money on the things you prioritise and value most. I'm happy to see Taekwon-Do is one of those things.

Footwork in Taekwon-Do can be extremely complex, but it all has to start with the basics. This video comes close to over simplifying but if you don't have this down pat, even the most simple movements become difficult. Remember, all techniques come off your footwork - if you're unbalanced and stumbling around, you won't be able to throw anything effective. Your hard trained kicks, punches, blocks, and everything else will be rendered useless.

Zoom Zoom Zoom. Still zooming it away. 17 March will be 1 full year of non-stop Zoom classes. I'm so proud and grateful for our committed students. For them, Taekwon-Do isn't just an activity, it's a way of life. These students(and our other committed members absent from this particular picture) have shown true Taekwon-Do character throughout this pandemic. No in-person classes doesn't mean no Taekwon-Do. Adaptability and perseverance are key traits of a successful Taekwon-Do practitioner and these students have them in abundance. Not to mention loyalty. Loyalty to the art, the dojang and themselves. We will come out of this pandemic stronger and better than when we went in. This is the Magua Taekwon-Do way.

We stand fully behind Pres. Choi and his ITF Executive.

Shared by NTCC:
The NTCC stands firmly with Pres. Choi Jung Hwa's ITF executive!
After seeing many posts surrounding the below subject, the NTCC requested more information from the ITF to better evaluate the situation and to ascertain a clear understanding from both sides.
The NTCC is of the firm belief in the strength of Pres. Choi Jung Hwa's leadership and believe in his good judgement regarding the people he has surrounded himself with to protect the ITF's interests.
As Organisations in membership of the ITF, I encourage you not to listen to heresay. Instead, contact ITF administration who will share the relevant information upon request.

Many of you will have noticed Facebook posts on various social media platforms advising that Master Rai has resigned from the ITF.

All and any resignations are disappointing for any organisation. When a member, such as Master Rai, who has worked hard within an organisation departs, they go with sincere good wishes and every success whatever their future direction. It is every member’s right to resign and should not degenerate into a ‘who is at fault’ debate.

The biggest injury is to the president of the organisation, in this case Choi Jung Hwa, when they have listened to their members’ appeals of ‘why don’t you share the responsibility of delivering Taekwon-Do around the world; we will take your message and deliver it globally and ensure that all our practitioners are practising technique and/or philosophy as you would.” The injury is not only to the President or the member leaving, but more to all of our members who will not be given the opportunity to travel and share their President’s message because their (the president’s) trust has been abused by their representatives making their own personal allegiance with members they have had contact with for and on behalf of the President. This broken trust affects every other relationship.

It is worth remembering that whilst we work hard within an organisation, on its behalf, it is not the individual who has raised the organisation’s profile but the organisation which has trusted and permitted the individual to represent the organisation, raising their personal profile. The ITF should always be able to rely on the integrity of its members and officers both when you are in direct membership of or associated with the ITF.

The ITF is a home for all genuine Taekwon-Do practitioners whether currently in, left or returning. At all times do try not to confuse rules and regulations willingly and knowingly agreed to when in membership with a bending, swerving or breaking of those rules being referred to as ‘politics’.

ITF Executive
