Next time you're out walking, take a moment to check in — are your shoulders actually moving? Because yes, they should be.

With so many people out on the trails lately, I found myself getting clinically curious about what I wasn't seeing. My June blog post is up and it's all about walking, beyond your feet. Link in bio.

Hello June, I've missed you. 🌸
The blossoms are out and the scent alone is worth the walk.

A couple of years ago my knee went wonky at the end of summer and decided to be difficult for about five months. Essentially it made walking uncomfortable.

It made me get clear, very quickly, about what I want to keep doing for as long as I’m around.

Walking is at the top of that list. It’s a basic function we don’t give much attention to until it’s problematic.

It’s also why I’m picky about the movement practices I choose to support my mobility. Nervous system-led movement meets me where I am — I can’t push my way into things anymore, and honestly I don’t want to.

What do you want to keep doing? Let me know 👇

Tomorrow we begin.
Four weeks of movement designed specifically for the knitter’s body—because the shape we knit in tells a story.
