There are rumours I cried when I received this… I assure you all, they are just rumours. I can also neither confirm nor deny sleeping next to it last night.
Diploma acquired.

National Coaches Week ❤️
I wouldn’t be who I am today without the guidance of my current coaches and mentors. You’ve each helped shape me into a version of myself that keeps growing and finding new ways to give back to those coming up behind me.
To thank you for trusting me at the dojo level and continuing to back me up, even though I’m clearly past my “shiny new prospect” phase and well into the “vintage model with extra maintenance required” stage, haha. That belief has given me the confidence to step forward as a coach and community leader.
To thank you for your mentorship within the WAGE program, which gave me the tools to navigate the long game, and for putting up with my hundreds of questions and the spreadsheets that usually come with them. Honestly, I don’t know how you haven’t blocked my number yet, haha.
I’m also deeply grateful for my whole education through the Advanced Coaching Diploma. Guided by incredible leaders like Caleigh, Sue, and Darcy. Finishing that program springboarded my coaching to a whole new level, and the lessons continue to shape how I plan, lead, and support athletes today.
And beyond the individuals, I’m grateful for the huge community within and people who come together time and again to support each other, the athletes, and the sport we all love so fiercely. It’s rare to find that much passion and collective care, and I’m lucky to be a part of it.
Because of all this, I get to carry these lessons forward, share what I’ve learned (with a few stumbles and laughs along the way), and hopefully make things a little easier (and a lot more fun) for the next generation.
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🙏

Nationals 2025 and the national team training camp right after. Shout out the Rodney Hobson Karate Academy and its athletes for the opportunity to coach the sport I love at such a high level.
Thank you Karate Canada and Women and Gender Equality Canada for the opportunity to support and shadow at the national training camp. What a great weekend. đź’Ş
